"Peter!" Lydia cried out. She ran over to his limp form and held his head in her hands. Seeing him like this made her feel vulnerable, maybe because it's what he's been reduced to.
Derek and Scott were busy trying to land a punch on War but the Horseman just laughed and appeared somewhere else. Surprisingly, he'd actually managed to get Scott to accidentally hit Derek.
"Peter.. Please!" Lydia begged him to wake up. She lent her head against his chest and tried to think of anyway she could get him to wake up.
She had an odd feeling; something wasn't right. Something wasn't right with him. She began to panic as the thought of him dying came to mind. Then she remembered what she had seen.
The energy that surrounded him. But not only that, War had touched his necklace with his free hand when he pushed Peter.
Was it possible that it was some magic that War had used to make him unconscious?
Under different circumstances, she'd find it ridiculous that he was, yet again, under a magic spell. The last time, all it took was for her to admit that she truly loved him.
She looked back up at him and whispered with hope, "Peter, I love you." She kissed his forehead and then his lips.
Pulling back to see if there was any change, she was disappointed. She looked back at Scott and Derek fighting War. Allison had somehow gotten her crossbow and she was trying to get a clear shot. Stiles was standing a few feet away, giving Lydia space while avoiding the fight.
"Hnnn.."
She immediately turned back to Peter. His eyes were open and he looked like he was waking up with a hangover.
"Peter," she sighed in relief.
"How long was I out?"
"Only a couple of minutes.."
"Good, then it's nothing serious." He got up and took a staggering step.
"Peter, please, just.."
"Lydia," he turned to her. "I have to stop him."
"But why you?"
"Because," he caressed her bruised cheek, "no one harms the love of my life and gets away with it."
He took a few moments to gather his strength and strode over to the fight. War had his back to him, which was to Peter's advantage.
War had finally gotten tired of Derek and Scott's attempts to hit him and he touched his necklace before speaking to them. "Scott, I believe you saw Derek kill that innocent Danny. Remember? Derek lost control on a full moon and one of your friends paid the price."
Scott turned to Derek, clearly in a daze. "You killed him!"
"What? Scott, no.." Derek barely avoided a swing of Scott's claws.
War chuckled as Scott turned on Derek. He was still unaware of the angry wolf behind him. That is.. Until Peter growled.
Surprised, War spun around to be face to face with glowing blue eyes.
"Your girlfriend must be a cleverboots if she figured out how to wake you up," he smirked. "I do love a good plot twist."
"Then you'll love this." Peter grabbed at War's neck and tore the necklace off. The chain snapped and made a loud ringing sound in all of their ears.
In that instant, everything changed. Isaac, still at the Argent's home, now had no desire to kill Scott. And Scott wasn't under the mind control either and had stopped pursuing Derek. Lastly, War vanished. Into thin air. Leaving Peter standing in the loft with a necklace dangling from his claws.
A/N
Okay, so I went back and compared this story to the first book and I don't like it. It's too different. I mean, it might as well not even be a sequel. So, here's what I'm going to do:
In about a week or so, I'll be getting a new laptop (yay) and once I get it, I'll go over this book and edit it. Some chapters may be rewritten and there may be new ones as well. So, if you've gotten this far, the story you've already read might change a bit because I want to add more Pydia fluff. Like their movie P&P, I'll mention that again because it is Pydia's movie in this story.
And lastly, here's a sad reminder: there's only like one more chapter left. Maybe two.
Comment and vote. Love you all and thank you for keeping with me even though I suck at updating.
