Chapter 17

**Luke's POV**

I wake up on the couch with Julie on my chest laying with me in my arms. I started to smile but then realize that she said she was going to look for plane tickets today and then leave tomorrow. 

I then got sad because she will be leaving soon. I just wanted her to stay here in my arms. I just stared down at her beautiful face and how she was still stunning to me even when her hair is all in her face and all messed up. She's the best thing that's ever happened to me.

I notice her eyes flutter a little bit and I can tell she's about to wake up so I quickly rub my finger along her cheek. 

"Good morning beautiful" I said to her. 

"Morning Lukey" She responded. 

**Julie's POV** 

I feel someone's finger rub along my cheek. I don't mind because I know it belongs to Luke's hand. I flutter my eyes open to see him smiling at me.

"Good morning beautiful" He said to me. 

"Morning Lukey" I responded. 

I just look into his blue crystal eyes that I've known to love and get lost in. I start to smile at him but realize that I told him I would be looking for flights today and leave tomorrow. 

I became sad and looked down and started drawing circles on his chest. I was just doing how we usually did when we were dating. 

My phone began to ring. I grown and rolled over to reach it and I didn't even notice who it was I just answered it without looking at the caller I.D. 

"Hello?" I ask

"Julie? Hey we haven't talk in awhile when are you coming home?" The voice on the other side of the line said and the voice only belonged to one and only Connor. 

"Um I don't know I haven't started looking at flights yet?" I respond not wanting to think of leaving them just yet. 

"Why haven't you don't you want to come back home? Isn't Luke better now?" Connor asked kind of rudely. 

"Um I want to spend time with my old friends if that's okay with you. Yes Luke is better but I wanted to make sure he is fully back to his old self." I spat in the same tone he used. 

"Julie I understand but you've been there for about a week now. I can't stand not seeing, holding, kissing, cuddling you. I can't stand not being able to sleep beside you when I go to bed. I miss you Julie is it too much to ask for my fiancé to come home to me." Connor said getting a little irritated. 

I look at Luke to mouth to him that I will be right back I'm going to step outside for a moment. Of course he didn't mind me going outside because he could tell this were about to get heated if I didn't step outside. 

"Connor I will be home when I feel like leaving okay? I miss you too but right now Luke is my main focus. I want to make sure he's okay and fully back to himself. He just got out the hospital yesterday and I want to make sure that everything is going to be fine with him. I'm sorry if that makes you upset but I'm just being honest." I said getting even more irritated by his tone and him whining to see me. 

"So Luke is your main focus huh? What about I don't know your soon to-be-husband and son?" Connor spat at me. That just made me even more mad at him because first I don't like talking this early in the morning because I'm not a morning person and second he's raising his voice at me. 

"Right now yes Luke is my main and only focus that's why I haven't been answering you because I don't want to push Luke away when I'm the one he needs the most right now. So excuse the hell out of me if I'm trying to act like a good friend that cares for her friend not just her friend but her best friend in the entire world. If you didn't notice that he's my best friend when I dropped everything to fly out here to see him and make sure his perfectly fine. So I'm sorry Connor if me checking on my friend inconveniences you." I angrily said to him. I could feel my blood boil inside and I could tell I was getting mad very quickly.
