** Chapter 7 **

** Katie's P.O.V **

" I choose Jai." I said softly.

" What?" Jai stood up in amazement.

" I choose you" I repeated, a smile appearing on my face. He picked me up in excitement giving me a kiss on the cheek, the happiness was broken by Luke's cough.

" And what about me? You expect me to forget everything I've ever felt for you?" He asked.

" Luke we harldy know eachother" I admitted.

" But what about that kiss!" He exclaimed.

" That's exactly it, thats all we seem to do, kiss" I sighed.

" Exactly, we like eachother!" He begged.

" But what happens after the kiss?" I asked. No answer. " Exactly, nothing." 

" But theres something special here" He took my hand and place it in his.

I pulled away." But theres not.." I started." Look me in the eyes and honestly tell me you love me" I said. He couldn't look me in the eyes.

" I can't-" He looked helpessly at me and Jai.

" I'm sorry" I shook my head.

" Its not your fault" He said." Its his." He said pointing to Jai.

" WHAT THE HELL, THIS WAS YOUR IDEA!" Jai fired back.

" Fuck off" Luke shrugged and went towards the door.

" One minute!" I warned Jai." LUKE! LUKE!" I called as he left the house.

" What?!" He turned around angrily. 

" I'm so sorry" I begged him for forgiveness.

" But Jai always gets the girl, and now, he gets you" He turned away.

" LUKE WAIT!" I pulled him back." You can't be mad at Jai!" I exclaimed.

" Mad for taking the girl of my dreams away from me?" Never!" He said sarcastically.

" The first night we met" I burst out." The first night we met, he had the chance to kiss me, but he didn't and do you know why?" I questioned him.

" 'Cause he's frigid" Luke laughed.

" 'CAUSE HE'S A GOOD BROTHER!" I answered my own quesetion. Luke rolled his eyes." He kept his side of the deal, it was you who broke it" I added." I was wrong to let you kiss me, I should've stopped it, but you shouldn't be fighting over a girl" I said wiping away a tear that rolled down his cheek. He nodded in agreement. 

" I've got to go back to look after the baby, but promise me you and Jai will make up?" I asked holding out my pinky.

" I swear" He said with a small smile on his face as he pinky promised.

" Night Luke" I smiled.

" Night" He replied before heading back next door. I walked back into the house to see Jai holding the baby.

" She was crying I had no idea what to do, am I doing it right?" He said slowly rocking her back and forth.

" You're doing it perfectly" I smiled." I'll go put her back to bed. why don't you start the movie" I suggested.

" Sure" He smiled.

** Later that night **

 The movie had finished about an hour ago but we just layed there on the couch, talking to eachother.

" Did you mean what you said?" I asked lifting my head from Jai's chest.

" What?" He asked.

" What you said to Luke?" I looked up at him.

" About being in love with you? Yeah, I did" He smiled

" I love you too" I replied, I know we've only known eachother for a  few days but there was a special connection between us, I'd never felt like this about anyone before.

" You know we never did have that first kiss" Jai said flirtily.

" Oh didn't we" I winked as he leaned in towards me.

" We're home" The sound of my parents. Steve and Christie echoed into the lounge.

" Quickly!" I said sitting up and turning the tv back on, making it look casual. 

" What do we have here?" Steve joked.

" Well well well" mum winked at us both, oh god.

" So Jai, how do you fancy coming over tomorrow-" Christie began but I cut across her.

" You know, its getting late and Jai was just on his way out" I said.

" Yeah, nice to see you though" He charmed them.

" Nice to see you too Jai" She replied looking very confused.

"Bye Katie" He gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek and shut the door behind him. Quickly realising something I ran out of the house and chased after him.

" Jai!" I called and he came to a stop.

" What is it?" He asked worriedly.

" We never did have that first kiss" I said grabbing hold of his neck and pulling him in closer.

" Oh didn't we" He joked, repeating my line from earlier and then leaned in and kissed me. 

" I love you" He whispered.

" I love you too" I smiled, before hurrying back into the house.
