An: I HAD A WHOLE DIFFERENT CHAPTER WRITTEN! BUT DELETED IT ALL TO WRITE THIS XDDDD. AND I'M GLAD I DID! I LOVE THIS!

Akaashi stood in the nursery humming to Idalia as he gazed upon the night sky. The small princess in arms opening her tiny fist. Wrapping her fingers around her father's. A smile painting Akaashi's lips. This was perfect. We'll almost. It was missing one thing.
" Akaashi " Konoha entered the room a worried look in his eyes.
" Konoha? What's wrong? " The prince raised an eyebrow.
" This came for you " He handed Akaashi a letter. The raven looked at it then handed konoha the babe. Taking the letter he removed the wax. A wedding invitation..
" Dear friend,   you are invited to the celebration of Kōtarō Bokuto and Catharine of the stars." The prince felt his heart harden slightly.
"..The two shall be wed at the palace on the... " Akaashi looked at the date again. His heart hardening a little bit more.
   " January 21st.."
   " You're guys anniversary " Konoha spoke.
   " I'm sorry Keiji-"
" It's fine... I should move on myself. He clearly has.. So I should as well. " But Akaashi knew that would never happen. Cause from that moment on he promised himself he'd never love anyone. He'd only love his daughter. She was the only good thing he had in life.
" I won't be in attendance.. Take Idalia for the day. Uncle, niece bonding time. " The prince forced a smile. Konoha gave a nod then left chatting to the babe.

Akaashi sighed turning to the window. Remembering how Bokuto sounded calling him from the road. A smile tugging at his lips slightly.

There was a narrow road to that old foot path
Where the briar tangles into the musky dawn

" One last time" He whispered climbing out of the opening. Making sure no one was watching him the prince started for the old abandoned cabin. Remembering the first time he walkedthis road.

And that old, abandoned cabin
Was the perfect place for forbidden love to hide

" Songbird? " Akaashi no more than 15 whispered into a the cabin.
"  Velvet Red! " A 16 year old Bokuto smiled hugging the prince. The two giggling slightly.
" You sure we won't get caught here? " Akaashi whispered  walking over to the run down dining room. He scrunched up his nose taking the old lace table cloth off.
" Looks like rats have been eating it" The Moon held up the thing.
" Yeah, but isn't your mom teaching you how to make lace? Maybe you could fix it! "
" Maybe I could! " The two giggled.

Akaashi smiled remembering the lace table cloth. He never did fix it. Looking back he tucked it away somewhere in the cabin.

She was the mayor's eldest daughter
She had a taste for the fruit of the vine

Akaashi pushed open the old wooden door coughing at the dust. Once it settled he took in the old rooms.
" Maybe I could.. " He said walking over to the chest. Sure enough the lace table cloth laid in it. He took it out seeing that it had survived hidden away. Taking it to the couch
He pulled the needle and the thread from the cabinet. Sitting down he began stitching on a pattern.

And he was a poor boy down in that holler
And made his living on his homemade wine

Bokuto found himself walking outside the kingdom's walls. Sighing softly as he took the long and winding road.

" I hate waaaaaalking " Bokuto complained seeing Akaashi at the cabin.
" But it's worth it to see my Velvet Red " He kissed Akaashi's cheek.
" So dramatic songbird " Akaashi chuckled returning the kiss to his forehead.
" Hmmm but you love me"
" Only on Tuesday" Akaashi joked entering the cabin walking to his bookshelf.
" Agaaaashiii but it's Wednesdaaayyy" Bokuto whined sitting next to his lover.
" You're a day late" Akaashi smiled pulling out a book.
" Hmmm Den lille havfrue"  The raven saw the confused look on Bokuto's face.
" The little mermaid. It's a Dutch story. And I love you everyday. Not just Tuesday " He gave Bokuto a quick kiss on the lips.
" :0 that was our first kiss Agaashi-"
    " Keiji "
Bokuto shook his head slightly. The little mermaid.. Or Den Lille Havfrue. What a strange book. But it fit well with their love in away.

Akaashi looked at the pattern finally being able to see what it was. It was a the sun and moon combined. He laughed slightly finding it ironic.
" You fixed it Velvet Red" Bokuto laughed slightly. Akaashi jumped turning to see Bokuto.
" I did" He smiled looking at the Sun.

Don't you know their love grew, like the wild flowers do?
She'd start to miss him with an awful thirst

" So you're marrying Catharine... I hope you two get your happily ever after " Akaashi turned back to the lace pattern.
" Yeah.. " Bokuto sighed sitting next to Akaashi resting his head on the younger shoulder.
" Weddings a few days from now" Akaashi whispered.

And when that sun went down, she'd go sneakin' out
And he'd be waitin', callin' out to her

Akaashi set the table cloth down then looked at Bokuto. Together they kissed for the first and last time. Bokuto pulled away upon feeling a tear land on his hand.
" Keiji-.. Akaashi. You're crying " Bokuto said brushing away the tears. Akaashi took hold of his hand keeping it on his cheek.
    " Bokuto-san.. One last time.. Please.. "
    "As you wish"

Bokuto kissed his ex lover softly pulling his body close. Akaashi melting like putty under his touch. Other times it would have been rough, and experimental. But they both knew  enough about it each other now. They just wanted to feel love one last time.

Bokuto tucked Akaashi in kissing his cheek softly.
" I love you " Bokuto whispered before leaving.
Akaashi awoke alone. Instead of crying he grabbed the lace table cloth and returned home.

There was a child born twenty years ago
To a mother who never wed

Akaashi found Idalia in her crib playing with her stuffed bear. He gave a small laugh picking up the sweet child wrapping her in the lace. His little Velvet Red snuggling close to him.

Though she gave no name for the father
She called her daughter Little Velvet Red

" I love you Idalia.. Even if I never get the happily ever after I've dreamed of.. I'll have had you. You're the happily ever after I need" He kissed the babes forehead.
