XI.

JUNGKOOK

Bighit Entertainment, 7 PM

"If there's nothing else you'd like to add to these ideas, then I think we're good. I shall relay this to the management by tomorrow and as soon as I get updates on it, I'll inform Namjoon immediately." Mr. Kim, one of our company managers specifically assigned to our group, said while finalizing everything in his file.

We agreed to it and eventually stood up to thank him before he left the meeting room. As soon as the door closed, I groaned and slumped back to my chair, closing my eyes. It has been a long day for me.

"I still can't believe they seriously meant it when they said we will be actively involved in the entire thing for our next album." Taehyung hyung said in a muffled voice. What's going on?

I opened my eyes out of curiosity, only to see him coming up from below the table, smirking as he settled back in his seat. I looked at his poor victim who was still oblivious of what's about to happen, busy with his phone. pfft 

"I think none of us ever considered it seriously. I mean, we already know how it works. Unless Mr. Kim himself speaks of it, nothing is ever official." Hoseok hyung replied before he put his phone down.

We just finished our preliminary meeting for our next album. It was just basically more of a brainstorming of our plans on the possible concepts, the themes for the songs that will be part of it and assigning roles for each member in the entire process.

"Yea well.. It's something new for us yet again so we should just work together on this. That's how we work best, afterall", Namjoon hyung said.

That's a very Namjoon hyung thing to say. He never fails to remind us that our teamwork got us this far and this team worked so well because we had each other. BTS will always be 7 or nothing.

Suddenly, a loud clap caught everyone's attention.

"okay! that's enough work talk for today. I have an announcement to make.
First of all, let's give a round of applause for our guy Hoseok right here" Jin hyung said before he clapped his hands while nodding satisfactorily at his own announcement.

We were all confused. What exactly was this about?

No one else clapped their hands alongside Jin hyung so he stopped and sighed.

"Guys! we should support our brother! Apparently he has finally found a love interest after 7 years of restricting himself since debut" he knowingly smirked at Hoseok hyung.

But hoseok hyung just got even more confused. "I did? Who's the girl?"


I--- what?


"Didn't you say you admired that girl from one of your dance meetups?"

Hoseok hyung seemed to have finally caught up on things and immediately snapped his head towards Namjoon hyung.

"How could you betray me like this!"

We all laughed at his sudden outburst. Even Yoongi hyung was smirking. oooh this must be something.

"I never said I liked her that way, you ass!" Hoseok said, throwing an empty plastic bottle at Namjoon hyung. Namjoon hyung easily dodged it, laughing and shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly.

He then faced us and explained, " It was just once okay? I just said I admired her as a dancer. I was just amazed that she was able to match our energy even in doing hardcore routines, which is hard, considering her small figure. Besides, she's years younger than me, probably around Jungkook's age. There's no way I could see her as anything more than a younger sister."

Hoseok hyung has these seldom dance meetups with some of his dancer friends from way back his underground days. I thought they were all men though, never thought there was a lady in the group. Interesting.

"Oh but hyung, that didn't stop you from loving me though", I can't help but butt in, smirking at him. This made my other hyungs laugh even more.

A/N: My sources have claimed that Hopekook is an underrated ship. I shall do something about that..

"What's so wrong with liking someone that way though? Jin hyung and Namjoon are living proof that it will work out just well for us this time. You can enter into relationships too, you know? That goes for everyone else too." Yoongi hyung silently said, reflecting my thoughts on this entire thing. It's not like we'd condemn him if he liked that girl, why was he so worked up on explaining his side? lol

Jin hyung is currently in a stable relationship for 2 years now with an upper class lady whose family was tight with his own. They started out as family friends and eventually developed their own connection along the way.

Namjoon hyung is also currently happily married with the mother of his 3 months old baby boy. She was a managing staff at Bighit for a couple of years but she quit as soon as they got married. It was a private ceremony attended by close friends only. The company wasn't able to do anything to stop this since BTS practically built it and more so, its the leader of BTS that asked for it. They can't possibly kick him out of the team that he managed to hold together for years.

"I know right!" Taehyung hyung suddenly blurted out.

"so Jungkook, you also don't have to be shy and just tell us about that girl you're so whipped for, at the moment" he said, raising his eyebrows teasingly at me. This made all the hyungs look at me with perplexed faces.

what the fck is he talking about?

"Woah! someone was finally able to tame this motherfucker?"
-_- Jimin hyung just had to say that...

"I know right! Imagine how shocked I was when I heard that someone requested to extend the operating hours of my shopping center and that someone was apparently, the great why-shop-in-malls-when-I-can-shop-online person Jeon Jungkook!" he enthusiastically said as if he was a genius for having figured out so much from such small piece of information.

"That's not exactly true though. He shops in physical stores a lot when we have activities abroad. Maybe your mall is the problem, Taehyung" Yoongi hyung quipped in, making us laugh and Taehyung hyung jokingly glare at him.

"That's not the point! The point is that this someone must be so special that Jungkook himself went on to buy her a gift. And don't tell me it was for yourself or your friends because you don't do that!" He said pointedly at me.

I roughly rubbed my temples at this. This is making me dizzy. I seriously thought I made some drunk mistake of introducing some girl to them or what.

I sighed before I went on to explain to them, "Hyung, I went to quickly buy a gift for Aera, my niece. It was her birthday yesterday and my brother told me to stop by after work so I thought I should at least get her something. I can't possibly buy online and have it delivered to me immediately so obviously I had to go there."

"Aww damn! and here I was hoping to be the first to announce your withdrawal from the game." Taehyung hyung said, shrinking lowly in his seat. We all laughed at him. Not anytime soon, hyung.

"Players gotta play, Taehyung" Jimin hyung commented, winking at me to which I replied with a smirk. It takes one to know one, huh

Although, that guy's worse! he makes a lot of girls feel special at the same time. I, on the other hand, just mess around with one in a completely physical relationship for a short time and move to the next. 

"Anyway, I'm starving! let's just go have some dinner! My treat!", Jimin hyung quickly drew his chair back to stand up, only to fall on his butt in the process.


Taehyung hyung laughed so hard at this. We all snickered at his pitiful state before the hyungs on his side helped him stand up after untying his shoelace that Taehyung hyung tied to the holes of the divider under the table.

As soon as he got up, he glared at Taehyung hyung before he chased him out of the conference room.

"Don't even think I would let you get away with this, asshole!!!" his screams can be heard all over the hallway.

We just laughed at the both of them, knowing very well that they will make up just as quickly later this evening.
