LISA

Kim Residential Villa, Busan

"I didn't expect to be here either. I just came to accompany Rosie"

He seemed confused. "Rosie?"

"Oh, I mean Rosé, my member. You know her?" Only then did he seem to recognize who I meant as he nodded.


We were already at the doorway of the dining hall where a few large tables filled more than half of the area and the desserts table filled the other side. From the way I see it, the adults gathered together in a different side and even the kids had their own table with their friends. This feels like a bigger family banquet. Damn, am I even allowed to be here?

I saw a hand waving at us from the far left side of the room and I deduced it was Tom. I looked at this person beside me and saw him nod. We headed to that table.

There were 6 other people that were unfamiliar to me, 4 guys and 2 girls. They all nodded respectfully at me. Tom stood up to greet this man beside me.

"Jungkook! My man! Glad you could make it!"

I looked at Rosie who was smiling and patting the seat beside her. I sat beside her and since there was no other seats left, Jungkook sat beside me shortly after.

"Guys, meet Lisa. She's Chaeyoung's bestfriend and a member of BLACKPINK too"

They all warmly smiled at me and Tom shortly introduced them one by one. Apparently, 3 of them were his tight friends from high school. Jungkook and another guy were his family friends and they knew each other from this same party a few years back and became close since then. One of the girls was the girlfriend of one of the guys and the other guy was a close friend of one them. Good to know I wasn't the only one who was completely unrelated to this squad.

"So the Chaeyoung that Jihwan hyung mentioned he was dating currently is your member Rosé?" Jungkook spoke softly from my right side. I looked at him and nodded.

I heard Rosie laugh. I looked at her and she seemed to be relaxed and in so much fun around these people. I smiled at her. Looks like there won't be any Netflix for us tonight.

Throughout the entire dinner, Rosie and I easily matched with their group so we were able to talk comfortably about a lot of stuffs with them.

I also knew from Jungkook that apparently this event is generally a year-end party for everyone who were associated with the Kims. The people in here were either families of the business partners of the Kims or families of the friends of Tom and his siblings. This explains why not everyone is exactly close with everyone and why there were a few divisions among the people.

We were currently at their lounge playing whatever games they could think of. I can't believe I'm having so much fun with people I just met.

My mom suddenly called so I had to go out to take it. She just called to check up on me so after a while before she went to sleep. 

After the call, I contemplated a bit if I should go back. I saw this balcony that overlooked the entire garden on my way back and this made me decide that maybe I could stay out here a bit longer. I have already assured that Rosie was genuinely accepted in that group so I think I could let her be in there. Besides, I wanted some time for myself after all that social interaction all night.
