The blonde-haired blue-eyed miracle from the heavens (whom I now knew as Jack) sat down next to me. I stared straight at the board, ignoring the heart pounding out of my chest. I could feel my face heat up and turn ten different shades of red and pink. And that's when the anxiety decided to kick it's way in.

"Okay, class," Mrs. Huckle groaned in a tone that really says 'I hate my job,' "welcome to your first health class of the year." I started to play with my pencil when my hands got increasingly wet.

The dead silence was broken by the loud sound of my bright yellow pencil crashing to the blue linoleum floor. Every pair of eyes in the class was directed straight at me. I sunk low in my chair and my embarrassment was luckily interrupted by the loud clapping that was our teacher's attempt at getting our attention back.

Mrs. Huckle went on blabbing about some paper we'd have to write soon and around half the class fell asleep. My face still hadn't returned to its normal shade of peach. And it didn't help when Jack started talking.

"Wow, Mrs. Huckle is really boring, huh?" Jack mumbled only loud enough for me to hear. His voice was deep and hot and my insides melted like magma.

"Ya," I replied quietly, my voice cracking slightly. I picked at my deep purple nail polish and tried to act cool. "Don't blow this," I kept telling myself. Jack's mouth formed into a crooked grin. I stared at my desk to avoid looking at him. I bit my bottom lip so hard that I'm pretty sure I could taste blood in my mouth.

"So," Jack went on, "what's your name?"

"Wait what?! He wants to know my name?" I screamed inside my head and alarms seemed to screech in my ears.

"I'm Gracen," I replied, finally looking up at him. And right away I knew that was a mistake. His blue eyes took me deep into a trance. I somehow managed to snap myself out of it and come back to Earth.

"So what's your name," I asked hoping he didn't notice my zoning.

"I'm Jack Anderson." I knew who he was now. Or at least I thought I did. Anderson. That name sounded familiar.

The bell rang and everyone made a mad dash for the door. I swung my backpack over my shoulder and walked next to Olivia and Alexis to our lockers. I turned my new combination and emptied my books into the small metal locker.

"So," I said, "I'm guessing you guys are enjoying your new seats."

"Ya," Olivia giggled.

"And you're so lucky to go to school with your other half," Alexis joked. Olivia had a twin. She never really talked about her that much and honestly, I'd never seen her before.

-

English is my favorite subject and that was my class for second period. Our English teacher was really nice-even if she looked intimidating. She didn't ever give us much homework and we could sit wherever we wanted to. My eyes were drawn to a head full of...gorgeous blonde hair. Seriously?! Two classes with Jack? This time I knew to keep my distance from him. I picked my seat carefully; away from where he was sitting and in the back row.

"Role call!" Shouted the teacher over the noisy students. One by one, each name was called.

"Gracen Sanders!"

"Here."

"Jack Anderson!"

"Here."

"Olivia Anderson!"

"Here!"

My face went pale and a lump took over my throat. I knew who Olivia's twin was. It wasn't a girl. I had a huge crush on my best friend's twin brother.
