I have to finish packing." Spencer reminded herself as she and Niall stepped into her hotel room. He sat on her bed patiently. She was bending over, her back to him, when a tear unconsciously fell from her eye. She wiped it away, annoyed at the sudden release of emotions.

"You okay?" He asked, suddenly beside her, and he was the only thing holding her together.

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine." She smiled, wiping another tear away.

"Are you sure?" He kissed her cheek and helped her pack. Soon they were done, and Jessica was waiting in the lobby.

"Let me drive you to the airport." Niall insisted.

"No, it's fine. It'll just make it harder. Really. You'll come visit me soon. A-and we'll be f-f-fi-" he cut her off by kissing her hard.

"We'll be GREAT. Don't worry." He cupped we face gently. "I'll see you soon, we'll talk all the time, and like I said, this summer we'll spend the whole time together." He kissed her once more, wished her a safe flight and then helped her into a taxi, waving goodbye.

To Spencer's complete shock, there was a crowd of paparazzi and fans at the airport, so her and Jessica had to fight through the crowd to finally reach their flight. They both slept the whole time, and when the flight landed the stretched and wordlessly collected their luggage. Then their parents took them their separate ways. They hugged good bye tightly and went home.

"Stephanie, dad. I have to tell you something." She waited for their reactions. None. How typical. "So I met a boy in LA, which you know, but what I didn't tell you is that he's Niall Horan." Still no reaction. "My boyfriend is from One Direction."

"Boyfriend?" Her dad snarled.

"One Direction?" Her stepmom squealed. "What? Tell me everything!" You can't blame her, she's only 27.

"Daddy?" Spencer asked. "You okay?"

"You have a boyfriend?" He looked angry.

"Um, yeah. Does it matter that he's in the world's most famous boy band?" Spencer responded, sitting in the back seat of the car.

"Honey calm down." Stephanie stroked he husband's arm as he pulled into the long driveway.

"I'm seventeen. I can have a boyfriend." Spencer pointed out.

"Okay, okay. I'm just going to need some time to adjust." He shoved his hands in his pockets and walked inside. Always overreacting.

"Tell me about him!" Stephanie insisted.

"He's so nice, and funny and warm. I have so much fun with him! We're going on a trip this summer-and if you don't mind, he's coming to visit in a couple weeks." Spencer smiled as she got a text from him.

N: hey beautiful, I miss your face!:)

S: hey:) me too

N: did you tell your parents?

S: yup! Dad kind of freaked out but Steph is excited!

N: sorry about you're dad-think he'll come around?

S: yeah, he just wishes I was still a kid. No worries!:) can't wait to see you

"Of course he's welcome here!" Stephanie helped her carry her bags inside.

"Well I have something to tell you, too." Stephanie said as she closed the door to Spencer's room.

"What is it?" Spencer asked as she put her shoes away.

"I'm pregnant!" Stephanie announced.

"Oh my gosh!" Spencer hugged her. "How far along are you?"

"About two months, I just found out this morning. I haven't told your dad yet."

"How are you gonna tell him?" Spencer sat down on her bed and pulled her feet under her.

"I'm not sure, because I don't know how he'll take it. He IS sixty; I'm not sure he wants a baby." Spencer and Stephanie had usually seen each other as peers, so Spencer often forgot that she was married to her father.

"He'll be happy!" Spencer mustered her best fake smile.

"Yeah right." Stephanie rolled her eyes.

"Well congratulations!" Spencer genuinely smiled now.

"Thanks! I'm gonna go tell him!"

"No, Steph! He just found out his only daughter has a boyfriend. Just wait a a couple days befo-"

"SPENCER!" It was Max, breaking into her room.

"Hey Max!" She smiled seeing her little brother.

"How was your trip?" He sat on her bed.

"Wonderful! And how was your trip?" Spencer responded.

"It was good. Mom and I went to the water slides, but I missed a lot of football practice just to go to mom's."

"Max, you know how important it is for you to go to mom's. How did your team do without you?" Spencer started unpacking her suitcase, throwing clothes in the hamper.

"They lost one and tied one. But when was the last time you went to mom's?" Max pointed out.

"It's been a while, I'll go this summer." Spencer said, knowing Max would forget about it.

"Will you take me to football practice tomorrow?" He got up an started to head out of the room.

"Of course!" She smiled at how close she and her brothers were.

"Want a snack?" Stephanie asked Max. He nodded and ran to the kitchen, with Stephanie following close behind. Spencer opened her backpack and finished her spring break homework, but was on the phone with Niall the whole time.
