"Okay, so remember, my dad is pretty much insane, and Stephanie is crazy-emotional right now. Max will love you. And Grover, well he's coming home tomorrow. We'll face that challenge when we get to it." She laughed as she pulled into her driveway. They pulled his bags out of the back and walked into the house.

"Hey, I'm home and I brought Niall!" She giggled as no one answered. "C'mon, my room is this way."

"Shouldn't I sleep on the couch or guest roo-" she kissed him hard on the lips.

"No. You should sleep right here." She grabbed his collar and pulled him onto the bed.

"Wait-" he pushed himself up. "I should meet your dad." She rolled her eyes and stood up, kissing him again. They strolled out of her room holding hands.

"Dad?"

"He's in his study. You must be Niall!" Stephanie wrapped Niall in an all consuming hug. "I'm Stephanie."

"It's nice to meet you." He smiled. They walked into the study.

"Dad, this is Niall."

"Good afternoon, Mr. Wesleyan." He nodded and shook his hand.

"Call me Sir!"

"He's kidding." Spencer noted.

"Oh." Niall looked nervous.

"C'mon, you look like you could use some food." Niall's eyes lit up and they marched to the kitchen.

"I have to go to football." Max announced, marching in all of his uniform.

"I'll take you, wanna come?" Spencer turned to Niall.

"Yeah!" He got up and followed them to the car.

"So you play American football?" Niall asked.

"Yep. Do you play any video games?"

"Yeah, did you get Halo 4?"

"Yeah! I've already logged forty hours."

"Nice!" The boys got out of the car, strolling over to the field, continuing their discussion of video games. When Niall came back, Spencer had the radio on.

"So what do we do now?" Niall climbed in the passenger seat.

"Umm... Ice cream?" She suggested, pulling out of the parking lot. They found a small ice cream shop. As she stepped out of the car, Niall looped his arm around her waist and gently pushed her up against the car, kissing her jawline. He made his way to her lips and she desperately kissed him, her hair gripping his head. They walked into the shop a few minutes later.

"What flavor do you want?" Niall asked as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

"Mmmm.... Coconut."

"One coconut and one chocolate." He paid and they took their cones. They walked around Portland, ending up at the library. They quietly walked up to the large balcony and sat on a bench.

"Grover's coming tomorrow?" Niall asked, sneaking a lick of her ice cream. She giggled.

"Yeah. Wanna come with me to the airport?" He nodded, kissed her cheek and then he licked her ice cream again. She pushed it up and spread ice cream all over his face.

"Oh, you got a little something right there." She gestured to his chin.

"I'm saving it for later." He joked. She leaned in and kissed the ice cream off.

"I feel like a kitten." He laughed. She leaned in and kissed his lips, criminally slipping his cone out of his hand.

"Hey, my ice cream!" He laughed as they parted lips. She got up and ran away. They made it to the lab when an elderly, bitter man growled.

"You two better be quiet."

"Yes sir, sorry." They tried to contain their laughter, but ended up cracking up in the middle of the library. They quickly made their exit, and drove back to Max's practice.

"Awe look at the little baby!" Niall pointed out as they sat on the bleachers.

"Cute!" Spencer smiled, resting her head on his shoulder.

"I want kids. Do you?" His head was now on top of hers.

"Definitely. Of course, not for a long time." They both laughed. Max climbed in the car and they went home. The two of them changed into nicer clothes, a dress and a tucked in shirt, and headed out for dinner.

"Babe, this is a park, not a restaurant." She said as she laughed.

"I know." He had successfully driven, and opened her door.

"He took her hand and walked her to a candle lit blanket. He opened a bottle of champagne, and pulled a cheese plate out of a basket.

"How did you manage this?" Spencer asked as she sat on his lap, drinking.

"I have my ways." He laughed, kissing her neck.

"It's weird that I'm gonna have another sibling." She speculated.

"Why?" He started rubbing her back as the sun set completely.

"Well, it's gonna be eighteen years younger than me. That's crazy! When my baby sister or brother is able to take a legal drink, I'll be thirty-nine, probably married with kids."

"I get what you mean, it's a pretty vast difference."

"Plus I'll be off at college, plus this kid threw off our whole five years apart thing."

"That sentence didn't really make sense." Niall commented.

"I'm not drunk!" She insisted.

"I never said you were!" He laughed as she sighed.

"But Grover is twenty-two, I'm seventeen and Max is twelve. We're all five years apart."

"Well I bet it's gonna be really cute." Niall said as he pulled out two paper bags. They were both filled with burgers and fries.

"Of course, at a picnic this classy." He laughed as she got up, taking her shoes off. "What are you doing?" He stood up to.

"Being a velociraptor." She said like he should've known. He was really glad no paparazzi had found them. She started acting like a dinosaur, and when Niall tried to catch her she ran to the playground.

"C'mon love, you need to sober up." He laughed, finally catching her as she stopped running on the wood chips. He carried her on his back to the blanket, had her drink coffee and water and then drove them home. Spencer set the alarm and took Niall back to her room, collapsing on the bed in exhaustion.
