Carlo's POV
I'm busy doing my thing when I heard the loud noise coming from my phone. I dropped my digital pen and grabbed my phone. I automatically sighed when I saw who's calling me.
Incoming call...
Eunice
I let it ring for three times hoping that she'll stop but to my dismay this girl is really persistent.
"Yes?", I answered.
"How could you?", sabi niya.
"What?"
"You let your phone ring for damn three times hoping that I would give up calling you, am I right?"
"Well, I'm glad you actually get my intention, so why did you keep on calling me, hm?"
"Oh my god, why are you so ungrateful? I just want to call you and check if you're okay there."
"Thank you, my friend. I'm doing great here, finishing my task when your call interrupted me."
"Wait, what? Are you doing your assignments the whole day?"
"Yeah, what's the problem?"
"Well, duh? Do you even know what's the day today?"
"It's Saturday, right?", I answered as I checked the small calendar in my table.
"Yep, and what time do you think it is?"
"Early afternoon", I heard her laugh and she even called her brother on the other line.
"What's up?", I heard Ethan's voice.
"Oh gosh, Tan. You won't believe this. I asked Carlo of what time is it now and he answered me, it's early afternoon!", I heard both of them laugh.
What's so funny? I just ate my lunch awhile ago so, I'm sure it's early afternoon now.
"Really, Carl? Early afternoon? Hahahahaha!"
"Kung tumawag lang kayo para tawanan ako, I'll end the call here."
"Early afternoon, my ass. It's already 9 in the evening, idiot!", Eunice exclaimed.
"What?", gulat na sabi ko. Agad akong tumayo at hinawi ang kurtina sa bintana. "Oh, I didn't even notice."
"Of course you won't because you're so busy with your thing! And I'm sure hindi kapa nag-dinner.", Eunice said.
"Well, it can't be helped. Ang dami ba namang pinagawa samin. Yung iba ang aga pa ng deadline.", sabi ko habang naglalakad pabalik sa swivel chair ko. I switched my phone into loud speak mode so that, I can put the phone down and continue my drawing.
"Bro, we understand that pero give yourself a break naman. May bukas pa naman eh, kumain kana at magpahinga.", Ethan said.
"At a time like this, you definitely need a girlfriend that will take care of you.", singit naman ni Eunice. Natawa nalang ako ng bahagya sa sinabi niya.
"Sometimes, I envy the two of you. You have so much time in your hands. Now, I'm doubting myself about my decision in taking this degree.", I commented while still focusing on my drawing tablet.
"Then you should've pursue educational course like us.", Eunice said.
"I might have a lot of patience but, I'm not good at teaching. You two should know that."
