9: Betrayal and Truth

Carlo's POV

"I already finished my part. So, the finishing touches will be done by you."

"Oh my god! Our output is so pretty! I can't wait to show this at the exhibit."

"Hahahaha, it's good that you're enthusiastic about this. Anyways, may gusto kabang ipaayos or ipadagdag sa'kin dito bago ko iwan na sa'yo?"

"Nope, nope! You've done a good job to this. I'll do the rest. Gosh, I'm so happy I got to be your partner, Carlo!"

"Same, Trixie. Give me your flash drive, I'm gonna give the copy to you."

"Here", she said while handing the flash drive to me.

Our last class for today already ended. We just used the room for awhile to talk with our partners regarding to the project that we were doing. We have to finished our art work by the end of this week because starting next week, we will be busy preparing for the upcoming art exhibit. Which will happen at the end of this month. Trixie and I's project is almost done, she just need to put some finishing touches to it. I'm actually glad that our professor complimented and accepted our work when we showed it to him. Well, that professor of ours are known to be fussy and strict when it comes to art work output. If he didn't like it, we don't have a choice but, to change our work. Fortunately, it didn't happen. Hehehehe.

"There. All done.", I said while giving back to Trixie her flash drive.

"Okay! See you tomorrow, Carlo.", she said and left. I looked at my wrist watch to check the time. I hurriedly fixed my things when I saw that it's almost noon.

"Hey, AC!", Ian shouted at me as he draped his arms on my shoulder.

"I already told you to stop calling me that.", I said without batting an eye to him. My attention is focused at organizing my things that is scattered at my table.

"That's a cool nickname though."

"What do you want?"

"Let's hang out. Invite the twins. I'll bring Nicole with me."

"No, I'll pass."

"What? Again?!"

"I have something to do. So—"

"Let me guess. You'll go to the library again?", I shifted my gaze to him.

"Yes. I need to finish my part on our project the—"

"Damn liar! I heard your conversation with Trix! You already finished your part. Heck, you even got the approval of Professor fussy!"

"Shut up your mouth if you don't want to get called at the office."

"Eh kasi naman. Nakaka-ilang invite na kami sa'yo na gumala ikaw naman tong pass ng pass. Be honest, you're just coming there because of Kei, right?"

"What? No! I also come there to read books!"

"Really, man?"

"You know what? Just hang out with the twins and bring Nicole with you. I'm sure Eunice will be delighted. And, I'll be going now.", sabi ko at madaling tumayo sa upuan ko. He was about to grab my arm but, I quickly dodge him and run towards the door. "See you tomorrow!"

"Tsk. Be careful, Carlo. That girl is already taken. Don't get yourself involve into twisted situations!"

"I know that. Tch, you don't have to remind me. We're just friends."
