Chapter 8

The next week, the producers of Mixnine called the four female happyface entertainment contestants out to discuss some things.

" Your CEO has briefed us prior to this competition that you will be having a tour. We tried to work around your schedule but unfortunately it still clashes with your tour. Your company has decided to pull you out of Mixnine but I'm happy that you girls appeared on the show. I'm really proud of how much you have achieved and shown on this show. Your stages were outstanding and it never fails to impress me. From today onwards, I will be a full fledged insomnia. "

They were taken aback. Firstly, the producers love and support for the girls and their withdrawal from the show. They were really glad they withdrew because they kind of found it pointless to stay there knowing that they have potential and so much more to offer but the editing in the show just made them look like incapable people but deep down they knew their worth. They didn't need the show. So they thanked the producers and their new friends they made before packing their stuff and walking out of the building, saying their final goodbye to the whole entire team. It was memorable but, the girls knew, they deserved better.

Back to the practice room, Gahyeon and Handong were preparing a small surprise to welcome the girls back from the show while Bora was organising some of the tour details so that they could prepare as a group. They had been practicing hard, way before Mixnine even happened so they were just delighted that they were finally together, as a family.

" Quickly quickly, let's hide. "

" It's quite hard to hide but, sure. "

The manager was texting the three girls in the room about their whereabouts so that the three other girls could surprise them. When they were just around the corner, Gahyeon turned off the lights and hid at the corner. When the door opened and the switched was turned on, as the lights flicker, the girls jumped out from their hiding spots and yelled,

" Congratulations ! "

Minji, SIyeon, Yoohyeon and Yubin were touched as the three of them came running towards them and hugged them real tight. Bora started the conversation by saying that Minji's advertisement, more like her " Why you should vote for me. " speech was shown on one of the buildings which attracted a lot of people because after the Boombayah performance, many people were asking about Minji, known as the red hair girl. Minji was honoured and proud as she hugged everyone, it was the sense of familiarity that she took comfort in, because she knew, she was home.

" Unnie, I missed you so much ! "

" I miss you too Gahyeonie. "

Handong told the girls that they wanted to surprise them for their hard work hence this small party with all the food they were craving. At the mention of food, they dumped their bags and walked towards the table as they pulled out their chairs and started eating.

Ah...this feels just like home.

So after getting everything sorted out and resting, they went back to practicing and doing other performances for the fans like special duets and covers. They practiced really hard and when they were done, they went to pack for the tour they were excited about. They had a list from the manager telling them what they can bring and what they can't bring, how much luggage space they need and other important stuff. Rooming was another issue because, it just is. Everyone had who they were comfortable with. However they decided to settle it later. So when the day came for them to get on the plane, they wore fashionably although, they really wanted to wear sweats but they had to uphold their image. So upon arriving on the plane, they sat down and started filming for Dreamcatcher's vlog. When they touched down at their first destination, they were greeted by many brazilian fans. Their overwhelming welcome came as a surprise but they were comforted by them. They quickly put their stuff in one hotel room while they played scissor paper stone to decide the rooming for this tour. Minji was paired with Siyeon and Gahyeon while Dami and Yoohyeon roomed together, leaving Bora and Dongie together. As Minji dragged her luggage to her room with Siyeon, she was thinking of how crazy this is, touring around Brazil and stuff, it made her excited. These small little squeals, would be passed down to anyone near a one metre radius, which includes, Siyeon and the maknae for that matter so as they were unpacking, they were also hyping themselves up. It was going to be crazy.

After settling down, they went around to look at the shops near their hotel. It was a nice district. They were walking when Minji noticed that Yoohyeon slowed down in her tracks while the rest walked ahead of her. Minji got a little worried so she approached Yoohyeon.

" Are you okay ? "

" Yeah, just wanted to walk with you. "

" You...you're cute. "

" Only to you. "

" Not true, you act cute to Siyeon and to Dongie and sometimes Dami. "

" Yeah, okay well, not to everyone. "

" So I'm not that special. "

" Hey... "

" I'm just kidding. "

" You better be, I really wanted to walk with you. "

" Why ? "

" No one really pays attention to the leader in groups. They're lone wolves until someone else takes care of them. "

" So you noticed huh ? "

" Of course, I care about you Minji. "

" And I know that. Thank you, for noticing. "

Yoohyeon smiled and nodded as she walked with Minji, enjoying the city lights. Siyeon and Bora were walking beside each other, Siyeon was sharing with her about the things that happened in Mixnine because the girls weren't really given much attention. Bora looked at Siyeon, her attention was fixated solely on her.

" You should have been there, they should have chosen you. "

" I know, but I used the time to practice and choreographed so I think it was better that I wasn't chosen. Didn't need that stupid show to prove my worth. "

" I didn't need it either, without you there, it just felt so wrong. "

" It's okay, it's over. "

" I know, and I'm finally home. "

Bora smiled as she linked arms with Siyeon. The frustration and care in her tone was real. Meanwhile, Yubin was checking up on Gahyeon with how she was doing with school.

" I'm doing great, just...it was lonely without you there, and Dongie and I missed you. "

" I know, I don't say this, but I miss you too. "

" Did you make any new friends ? "

" How did you know ? "

" You're really sociable, I'm not surprised if you gave many of the contestants a heart attack. "

" Yah yah.. "

Yubin ruffled with Gahyeon's head while Handong was walking quietly behind them. Yubin noticed and smiled at Dongie before calling her to walk beside them. It was the caring gaze that each of them bore because of the lack of each other's company for that few weeks. Those few weeks taught them how important it was to be together.
