Chapter 13

Well sad to say, Yubin couldn't help much because the two avoided each other at all cost. They needed space, well especially Minji while Yoohyeon wanted to make it up to Minji, but only when Minji was willing to talk to her. So, Yoohyeon would always be caught by fan sites staring at Minji on the sidelines.

A year had passed, some progress was made. Minji started talking to Yoohyeon but it was for very minor stuff and Yoohyeon had come to terms that her best friend would talk to her when she was ready. They were now having another come back and wow, it was getting intense. It was the first time they were coming back with six members because Handong is in China filming for Youth with You 2.

So during promotions, there would usually be pairings and Yoohyeon and Minji were constantly avoiding each other even if they didn't want to. However, like how the stars are aligned, they couldn't avoid each other every time. When they had to do some small activities, they would do it together professionally, afterall, they were idols.

When they were waiting for their turn to perform, there was an intermission and it was Weki Meki that was being questioned by the emcee.

" If there was someone you could get to know better, who would it be ? "

Elly was mentioning Yves from LOONA that so happened to be a new friend of Yubin and Yoohyeon nodded her head with approval. Who wouldn't want to know her ? She's got everything and she's fun. Then it came to the maknae of Weki Meki which caught Yoohyeon's attention. She saw that the shy girl was fiddling with her fingers as she rocked back and forth, contemplating to say who she wanted to be close with.

" I want to get closer to Dreamcatcher's Yoohyeon because she's so cool and pretty. "

" Would you like to send her a video message ? "

" O-okay. Yoohyeon sunbaenim, I really like your music, you have so much charisma on stage. You seem like a great person to hang out with, so can I get to know you ? "

When Yoohyeon saw it, she blushed. Siyeon who overheard decided to make a snarky comment.

" Why don't you hit the little girl up ? "

" What ??? She might just want to be friends. "

" Yeah sure. It will be our turn to the interview so please think of what you want to say to her. "

Yoohyeon nodded her head as she thought about it seriously while someone in the corner couldn't help but curl her fist as she tried to suppress her emotions. Yubin saw it and went over to the leader.

" Jealousy, what a funny word. Well, it's showing unnie. "

Minji breathed in as she tried to cool down while applying her makeup.

The next week, they went to the same broadcast station and Yoohyeon had already prepared a video message for the latter. Minji on the other hand had a vague and politically correct answer. The emcee asked them the very same question and Gahyeon went first.

" I would like to get to know Yoojung of Weki Meki. We're the same age so I would really like to make friends with her now that our comeback has clashed. "

" Alright, any other member ? "

Minji stepped forward and with her big smile that melted everyone's hearts, she opened her arms and said,

" I want to know every girl group that is interested in us, don't be shy. We may look intimidating on stage but, we're actually really goofy. "

The emcee laughed and applauded the leader for being so sociable. He then went on to say that there are actually people who want to know them and he mentioned Lucy from Weki Meki. Yoohyeon acted shocked and smiled, blushing a little and went on to say that Lucy can say hi to her when they see each other.

" She also mentioned that she watches your vlives often. "

" Wait really ? Why though HAHA, we're always a mess. "

The band laughed it off because truly it was hilarious when they were doing a livestream together, but they were family. After the interview, they bumped into a few other artists and started having conversations with them while Yoohyeon, coincidentally met Lucy.

" Hi Lucy nim. "

" Oh, Yoohyeon sunbae. "

" I heard that you were interested in me. "

Lucy cheeks were now tinted as she nodded her head shyly. Yoohyeon, being the smooth charmer she was, grabbed Lucy's phone and gave the latter her number.

" Call me anytime, I'll make time for you. "

Yoohyeon winked as she left. Siyeon witnessed everything and a part of her wanted to do the same with someone. She hasn't really been feeling positive these days but it didn't matter, as long as the group was happy, she could vibe with their energy. But this didn't go unnoticed by the leader herself. She approached Bora and told her that the latter was feeling down lately. Seeing that Minji had taken the initiative to tell her that, Bora decided to settle this herself knowing that the leader had a lot on her plate. So Bora took out her phone and texted Siyeon.

B: Hey, tomorrow, you and me. 6:00pm, Mr Kim's BBQ. Don't be late.

Siyeon felt her phone vibrate and decided to look at it. A little confused, she was but she still agreed to the suggestion. The next day, she woke up early, went for a run and came back home. She binge watched some k-dramas before deciding what she wanted to wear. She then decided on a plain white hoodie with a pair of ripped jeans. She walked to Mr Kim's BBQ as it was a stone's throw away from her dorm. When she reached, she was greeted by a waitress.

" Any reservations ? "

" I think it's made by Miss Kim Bora ? "

" Yup, for 6 pm ? "

" That's right. "

" Alright, this way please. "

Siyeon followed the waitress until she reached her table and sat down. She stared outside the window, watching random people walking along the sidewalk. Everything seemed so calming when she wasn't thinking about anything. Bora was on the way. Now she wasn't one to be late but she wanted to cheer the latter up, so she went to a flower shop and got her a gift. When she had arrived, she saw Siyeon in a daze and at that moment, it struck Bora. She never realised how hot someone could be doing nothing.

" Hi Siyeon. "

" Hi unnie. "

" Here, I got you a little something. "

" Oh you didn't have to. "

" But you seemed so out of place so I wanted to cheer you up. "

" Oh, I'm that obvious ? "

" No, it's just when you get upset, you wake up late and snuggle up in bed. "

" Ahhh, that's true. But thank you for the flowers. "

" I didn't really know what to get you to be honest. "

" It's okay, I wasn't expecting anything. "

" So what would you like to eat? "

" The usual. "
