Chapter 11

It was after the tour, and everyone was missing the vibes but they had to practice for the upcoming comeback. Everyone was practicing hard, they were all in a good mood, except for one person who couldn't seem to get the scene out of her head and the dance instructor could already tell that she was distracted.

" Let's take a five minute break. Yoohyeon, could you come see me ? "

Everyone nodded as they went to their own corners to rest.

" Yoohyeon, what the heck ? Why are you not focused today ? "

" I'm sorry, I'm trying but, I can't seem to get what happened out of my mind. "

" Whatever it is, I need you to get yourself together. "

" Yes mam. "

Yoohyeon returned to her spot and sat down. Minji noticed that the latter did not have water to drink so she passed the younger one her bottle. Yoohyeon thanked the older one as she stared at the bottle.

I need to focus. Everyone's doing their best and I'm not.

Yoohyeon drank out of the bottle and began practicing again. She was doing significantly better and everyone could tell that Yoohyeon was more focused and energised. When practice had ended, everyone left while Minji and Yoohyeon stayed behind to practice a little more.

" Yooh, what's wrong ? "

" What do you mean what's wrong ? "

" You have been acting all weird, I need to know what's happening. "

" I... "

" Go ahead, take as much time as you need. "

" Do you remember that day, when you were sick during the tour ? "

" Yeah and you had to feed me my medicine, what about it ? "

" Was it not weird ? "

" What do you mean ? "

" Why do you seem so calm and collected while I'm freaking out and I can't think straight, literally. I cannot stop thinking about it, about your lips. "

Minji wasn't good with words, neither was Yoohyeon. However Yoohyeon was very good at analysing people's faces and she knew that the older one was shocked. Without thinking much, knowing that the two were the only ones in the room, with only one row of lights on, the ambience was just right, and Yoohyeon grabbed the older one's face, pulled her in and their lips crashed into each other's. Yoohyeon was kissing Minji, however Minji was a little scared. She didn't pull back however because Yoohyeon's lips were soft, like a pillow. It took a while for Minji to realise that Yoohyeon was biting her lips softly and Minji had to reciprocate, she didn't want to reject the latter, there was no reason for her to. So she carried Yoohyeon unto her lap, lips still connected as one hand was placed on the latter's neck, while the other was on her waist.

Yoohyeon was feeling bold. Her tongue was eager to full on make out but Minji had to stop her.

" Yoohyeon, no. "

" Why ? We were already making out- "

" It was a mistake. "

" A mistake ? Minji- "

" I let my feelings take over me. I'm sorry this can't happen. Let's just pack our stuff and go. "

" Unnie... "

" Yoohyeon, I can't, I'm sorry, I took advantage of your vulnerability. This cannot happen again. "

" Okay. "

" I can help you with anything, not these. "

" Okay. Let's...let's go home. "

Minji nodded before heading home together with Yoohyeon and you guessed it, it was so awkward between the two that by the time they had reached home they split ways. Yoohyeon went and find Yubin while Minji just took out her phone and started typing things in her notepad on her phone.

" What is it Yoohyeon ? "

" I kissed Minji. "

" Wait what ? "

" Yeah, do you remember that day during our rehearsals, Minji fell sick ? "

" Yeah ? "

" She couldn't drink her medicine herself so I...I did the traditional method. "

" Wait what- "

" And ever since then I couldn't stop thinking about her lips which is why I'm always so distant from everyone. "

" Do you like her Yoohyeon ? "

" No I don't, that's the worse part, I don't want to use her. It's not fair to her. "

" Okay...technically you just had to do what you had to do. "

" No but, I kissed her in the practice room just now, and I can't lie, we enjoyed it but she said that it could never happen. "

" Okay, then just leave it as that. "

" That's the thing, I can't. We have this tension between us and I don't know how to move on from this. "

" Yoohyeon, I don't want you to do something you regret. Please don't hurt yourself and others. If you don't like her then stay out of her way. Just act like how you would around her. Before we re-debuted. You girls were the best of friends but something happened to Minji and you were okay just recently and this had to happen. "

" I know. I will try. "

" Yeah for the dance instructor's sanity please. She looked so stressed when you couldn't follow up with the moves. "

" Yeah yeah, I'm going to shower now. "

As Yoohyeon headed to the showers, Minji was in her room touching her lips and thinking about everything that had happened. So many thoughts ran through her mind.

Does Yoohyeon know about me ? Does she like me too ? No we can't, it's against the company rules. Come on Minji get yourself together, you need to set a good example. What would the others think of you if they knew ?

Just like that, Minji's secret was locked in a dark place in her heart. She couldn't let anyone know about her secret. But it wasn't a good thing. She always puts these pressures on herself, never sharing her burden with anyone else. This was her weakness. Never knowing when is enough, to talk and confide in someone. A great leader, but she's foolish.
