Chapter 19:Revealing secrets

I hurriedly drove back home completely forgetting about the two other drive less girls.

But I was totally out of my mind so that's the only thing I could really do.

Somehow I stumbled into my apartment and rushed into my room before locking the door and sliding down against it as sobs wrecked my body.

I had made a complete fool of myself.

I had acted like a coward and ran away from my problems.

But at the same time I was helpless.

I didn't want him to see me and at the same time I did want him to see me and recognize me too.

I stayed in my foetal position against the door for quite sometime as I cried and cried and cried some more till I was out of tears and my face was pink like a monkey.

I pushed myself off the floor and wiped my face with yhe back of my hand as I walked towards my bathroom before collecting some shorts and a t shirt.

Standing infront of the mirror I realised that I actually looked like a abominable monkey with black mascara running down my red and puffy eyes my heair was a mess as usual.

I sighed and undressed after filling up the bath tub and entering it.

The warm water immediately helped me to relax and I closed my eyes savoring the feeling.

The next thing I knew was someone banging my bathroom door like crazy waking me from my tired slumber. I quickly sat up straight freaking out as thoughts of robbers and kidnappers crossed my mind.

I sighed in relief when I heard the worried voices of Alex and Violet.

I pushed myself off the pool of now cold water as they banged my door again.

I hurriedly wrapped my towel around my body before stepping out of the bath and changing my clothes and opening the door only to be met with two furious and worried girls looking like gorgons with wierd colored snake hairs only difference was that these two had violet and blue instead of green and coral red.

Seeing my horrible condition immediately softened their faces and before I could say anything my eyes watered and they both wrapped their arms around me in a group hug thing.

I broke down in their arms once again as Alex softly stroked my back and hair while Violet whispered comforting words in my ear.

"Oh sweetie shhh" Violet said wiping my tears and I sniffed one last time before finally stopping my water works.

I fucking hated crying infront of anyone.

"You need to get out of there" Alex said with a smile, pulling me out of the bathroom as she gave me a gentle push towards my bed.

And I plopped down on my bed, sitting cross legged and avoiding eye contact with the two girls.

I expected them to start bombarding me with questions any minute now but instead everything was quiet as I admired my finger nails and almost wished to hell that they'd start talking to me so that I could avoid the nervous air.

The other two were quiet as mice which was pretty unusual for them and I looked upto find Alex deep in thought while Violet who was lying on my bed had a staring competition with the ceiling.

It was capital A , awkward and I felt very uneasy.

"Pizza? " Alex asked suddenly and I jumped.

"What?" I asked confused.

"Haven't you heard the word pizza? " Violet grinned sitting up on my bed.

"Umm yeah sure... I mean what pizza?" I asked.

"Do you want some pepperoni pizza?" Alex asked speaking slowly like I was stupid or something which I probably was in reality.

"Uh yeah" I murmured and on cue my tummy grumbled a bit making the girls giggle as I grinned sheepishly.

"I'm so full" I huffed after finishing my eigth slice.

"Me too" Violet said patting her tummy.

"Well am not" Alex said as she hurriedly gobbled her tenth slice much to our suprise and Violet raised an eyebrow at her.

"What?" Alex asked her mouth full of pizza. Man she reminds me of Niall when she is hungry.

that reminds , I owe the girls an explanation.

"girls I ..." I paused hesitating as how to proceed.

"Hazel we think its about time you spill the beans" Alex said matter of factly and Violet nodded her head as her eyes sparkled with supressed curiosity.

"Ok" I said taking a deep breath and clenching my fists and closing my eyes.

"Niall Horan is my ex-boyfriend" I blurted and the air stilled dramatically as the other two absorbed the little piece of bomb like information.

I looked around at their faces gouching their expression but they remained poker faced as they both continued to stare at me like I was from Mars. Alex pizza hung midway in the air giving the sight a comical look

"What say something" I whispered hating the penetrating gazes that were being thrown at me.

" I dont understand.. wait how, I mean what...fuck?" Alex said shaking her head vigorously and I bit my lip not knowing how to explain.

"well...' I started uncertainly chewing my lip like a chewing gum. "Its like Zaun is I mean was my bestfriend since kindergarten and and Niall was also in our class... h-he was Zayn's neighbour and a-and he... well we all went to the same school and since Niall didnt have friends over there Zayn and I were his first friends" I explained choking as those old happy memories flooded my mind.

"oh sweetie" Violet said wrapping her arms around my waist as I let my tears fall.

'he-he... I never got over him...I-I could never love anyone the way I had loved him" I said and Alex joined us in our group hug in order to comfort me.

"Its alright babe we understand" Alex said rubbing my back as I sat and hicupped before giving the two of them a final group hug again.
