"Man, junkyards are gold mines!"
Donatello exclaimed, beginning to dig through the trunk of the car with his hands and battle shell legs while Michaelangelo looks on in boredom as his brother finds a pineapple air freshener and sniffs it. "Who needs real pineapples when you have one of these babies?"A huge magnet in behind the pair lifts a car, drawing Mikey's frantic awareness, and points upwards, trying to get Don's. "Donnie! Donnie! Donnie! I really think we should..."
"Ah, fuzzy nerd dice!"
"Donnie!"
The car hangs above them for a second and then releases from his magnetic grip. Michaelangelo pulls Donnie aside, both grunting with the impact, and the pair bounce down the pile of cars they were on top of and then land inside another.
"Mikey, next time, I would appreciate a heads-up." Donnie states.
"Okay. Heads up!" Mikey moves the rearview window, and he sees a wrecker pulling a larger vehicle behind it. Automatically, he realizes that it wasn't any old car. "Is that?"
Donnie gasps, his eyes glistening, "It is!"
"The Jupiter Jim Moon Buggy!"
"Featured in not one, not two, but sixty sequels of 'Jupiter Jim's Last Trip to the Moon'. Ah, ha!" Donnie says in excitement, watching as the wrecker arm swings and discharges the buggy, which rolls over and lands upright on its wheels.
"How could anybody let that historical gem slip through their fingers?" Michaelangelo asks in dismay.
"I do not know, Michael, but we've got to have it." Donnie determines; he busts the car door open. They sneak over to another car that has a cat inside one of the shattered headlights.
"But how are we gonna get the car? We can't go and talk to one of those human people." Once Mikey points that out, a loud crash erupts and the car they are, or my like were, hiding behind is abruptly lifted into the air.
A bright purple mantis stood before holding the car overhead by using his long arms that were designed with jagged shoulders and forearms. Just any praying mantis, he had antennas on his head, but he also has bright green eyes, black hair styled in a pompadour comb-over with a grey streak, and jagged teeth. It was revealed to be wearing a white tank top, a dark blue vest, and a black belt with spikes and a "V" engraved on its buckle; these types of clothing are typically suggested for someone with the style of a person from the 1950s.
Of course, it wasn't a surprise from how he enunciated his words.
"Who the heck are youse?"
Mikey and Don lied on the ground before the mutant mantis, staring up.
"Oh, no, a mutant! Wait, we're mutants too. It's okay." Donnie reinstates as he and his brother stood up.
"Dude, you better hide," Mikey tells him, "There's a human guy around here."
"Easy, easy," He throws the car away and points to a sign. "This is Repo Mantis Salvage. The guy is me."
"This is your lot?" Mikey leaps up, clasps his hands together in a begging motion."You have to sell us that moon buggy! Please!"
Donnie grabs Mikey's shell and pulls him back. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Cool your scramjets, buddy. This is a negotiation," the softshell glances back at Repo, "We gotta play it smooth."
They put on sunglasses as they approach the mantis. Mikey strolls along the side of the buggy, running his fingers alongside it. Don trails a finger along the other side, across the wheel plate, and then rubs his fingers together before leaning back against one of the moon buggy's massive tires while crossing his arms and gazing back at Repo Mantis. "So, uh, how much you gonna pay us to take this pile of parts off your hands, amigo?"
