It seemed to have taken April a lifetime to find this job. She had selected her position herself when applying, but it seemed that with every day passing by there, the teenager got in trouble with the manager due to the unpredictable nature of her guests.

This night, April was stuck before a claw machine with Ayana as giggling was heard inside. A boy's head popped from the mounds and mounds of the toys inside the machine.

"How'd you even get in here?" April wondered, manipulating the claw of the machine so that it was above the little boy.

"Whoa!" The child was shocked when the claw had snagged the cuff of his shirt and lifted him, but it wore off and he began cheering. "Whee!"

April moves the claw arm to the drop chute, smirking victoriously as the boy was almost overhead of the chute. But the bitter voice of her boss scared her and made her drops the child back into the heaps of toys.

"I hope we aren't headed for another of your 'epic party fails', Party Captain O'Neil."

April had immediately covered the front of the claw machine with a nervous smile. She literally looks down to look at her boss face-to-face. "No way, sir. Tonight's the night I'm finally getting a party all the way through Albearto's birthday song and cake."

"You better," he threatens, "because this is your last chance." He paces to his office and leaves April with Ayana and the child.

Ayana crosses her arms. "Jerk." She bristled.

April shoots her a pleading look. "Please don't try and tick him off. I need this job! I don't know what I'll do if I get fired."

"Get a new job?"

"Well, duh, but I've been trying so hard to do a good job. If you couldn't tell, I'm not really the type of person to have the same job for too long."

"Obviously," Ayana says bluntly as April gives her a warning look that wasn't that effective. "But I'll lay off the mean comments of your boss until you get off work."

"Thanks, Yana!"

All of a sudden, Ayana was embraced in a short, tight hug by the smiling Genki girl.

Ayana was shocked to say in the least by her friend's casualness of touching her, but she smiles anyway. "It's no problem."

April whirls around to pump her first in determination. "You got this, Party Captain O'Neil." The boy inside the claw machine gave her an encouraging thumbs-up. She smiles at him fondly while Ayana gives her an affectionate pat on the back.

"Hey," Ayana smiles fondly, "I believe in you."

April's lips quirked upwards.

April races onstage in front of a curtained area. In the crowd with his birthday crown and surrounded by many of the other guests of the party was Timmy. Behind the children and to the right, Ayana sat with her left leg over her right, facing the left direction in her seat with an earbud in her left ear so she could hear April and listen to her music at the same time.

Footsteps then came rushing to the teenager's side; a woman, who can't be that much older than Ayana, had a mischievous smirk, and slicked-back hair that was a shade of black. Her left trimmed brow was raised in a taunting manner and her wide eyes the unique color of ruby red. It was beautiful for her pale complexion.

The lady stood there with her hands snug behind her back as the younger girl in front of her had enough of her silence and decided to question her.

Ayana was busy focusing on April when she decided to take a quick look on her phone. Then she saw the older girl...starting at her. At first, Ayana silently won the staring contest neither had agreed on and cross her arms and finally noticed the red glow in the girl's eyes before questioning.
