"Pardon me?"
"You heard it."
And he started quickly walking, holding the scissors.
*SNIP! SNIP! *
The guy approached the snowman.
"Wait, wait, wait!" Akaman darted back, his feet trotting to the edge.
His hands flailed a little. "Um... can you think about this for... for a sec."
The guy stopped.
"Why are you doing this?" Akaman folded his hands, confused.
The clouds above them circled, watching closely...
"To make you pay," the guy said, throwing his scissors aside. "In fact to make you all pay. For what you did to me."
"What did we do? What did I do specifically?"
He chuckled. "You just don't get it, do you?
"First things first— a solemn vow. A promise that if you fail to beat me, you'll play by my rules, get it."
"And if I lose?" Akaman's knees were shaking...
"I play by yours."
"We believe in you, AKAMAN!" his crush screamed.
And everyone on the net cheered on...
"We believe in you!"
"Make us proud!"
"WOOOO!"
Akaman collected some snow to enlarge fist, and he crackled his snow knuckles, before muttering: "Let's do this then, I think."
The man dashed forward, and Akaman followed suit...
And in a fraction of a second everything seemed to stop.
Akaman's fist missed, and with the attacker ducking, and the attacker blasting a punch through a chunk of his head.
*POOF!*
Akaman face was hollow.
The audience was quiet...
Akaman tried to punch him again, but his fist was caught.
"Pathetic," he said, walking back towards the scissors...
"Hold on!" And Akaman got up. He gathered some snow to make another leg again... "Oh man." He squeezed the chunk of snow into his head too. "Ouch! That was kinda painful for me."
"Up again, poophead?"
"Hey, language!" a child shouted. And everyone proceeded to boo him.
His crush, looking at everyone, felt that cheering for Akaman alone would feel awkward...
She felt like booing for the villain was less effective than cheering for Akaman.
And Akaman shaking his head, tried to clear his thoughts-- or a section of his mind that had punched out of his head seconds ago...
"Ugh!" And he folded his hands into fists again.
* * * * *
"OW!" Akaman screamed.
The crowd looked away, regurgitating the painful sight they'd seen before.
"Mum!" a young boy tagged on to his mother's red dress. "I don't want to see this. It's too painful."
Akaman was on the ground, wondering why he'd come here. The pain was too much to bear.
"Gaargh!" he struggled to breath.
He was only of a chunk of snow now-- he'd looked like a bitten pizza or something...
"Oh, ouch!" And he tried to crawl away, gathering some snow to survive...
"I thought this fight would be something, man," the guy said, with his hands at akimbo. "I thought you were the bravest, and the strongest."
"First, I never said any of those two things." Akaman whispered.
"Secondly?"
"Secondly, I give up. I'll do the thing you wanted." Akaman shoved some of the snow into his stomach.
The man laughed contemptuously. "Alright. I'll spare you the jibber-jabber. Just go to save the friends a bit faster-- that's all I'll give you... That's the only challenge now."
"Okay."
Akaman struggled to wake up, but his vision became blurry...
For a moment, he imagined the villagers were cheering for him, but he quickly dropped to the ground, unconscious.
