Without you
he knew nothing at all
the nature of life.
so that everything participates
you alone dominate
and over all kingdoms,
agitated on the wave
with whistles of air.
Blessed goddess,
give many names,
of everything sovereign,
come benevolent rejoicing
in the beautiful face.

10 May 1470, Careggi
Lucrezia walked through the corridors of Villa Medici, positioned herself in front of the door of Giuliano's room and knocked.
"Giuliano it's time to get up"
The boy who was already awake but naked in bed with a woman, had no reason to run away from beautiful sex, and so now in his bed there was a servant whose name he didn't even remember.
"I'm awake mother," he replied as her lady stood on top of her legs.

Lucrezia, with a face now certain of who was in that room, continued towards Lorenzo's room.

When she arrived at the door of the room and knocked, she got no answer, in fact Lorenzo was in the room drinking with Sandro and Poliziano, as brothers for him and Giuliano.
The painter and the philosopher argued about who was a mule and who was a donkey, Lorenzo then intervened reminding them of their importance.

Lorenzo went out into the garden, where the servants arrange the luggage on the carriage, I fix the horse's bridle and at that moment Giuliano arrived, but someone was spying on them from a hedge and he was certainly not there to praise.

Meanwhile in Fiesole, Beatrice had managed to convince her father not to let her marry Francesco Pazzi, now she was in the garden of the large villa they had in Fiesole, she devoted herself to writing and she loved to write. She did not tell anyone about what had happened between her and Giuliano, it remained a secret, and it will remain so forever.

Giuliano turned his face towards one of the servants, the one who was with him until a short time before, and smiled at them, Lorenzo noticed him and laughing said "long night for you too Giuliano"
"The mouth is not used only to speak brother" the two ended in a light laugh and after being mounted on horseback they left the villa unaware of what would happen.

As they walked along the road to the house, behind the carriage where Piero sat, and in front of the one where Sandro, Poliziano Bianca and Lucrezia were, arrows shot from who knows where they hit some guards, the horses were immediately frightened, then the coachman of the carriage was hit of Piero, who was pulled away by horses.
"Back! Back!" Magnificent cried.
They did as he said.
"Giuliano the carriage!" with the horses they started running towards the middle.
They ran, they ran as fast as they could.
"Father" Giuliano shouted and the screams of his father were heard from the carriage, the wheel came off and the carriage overturned while the free horses ran away.

The youths catapulted to the carriage.
"Father, father, you are well!" Giuliano got up to try to turn the mighty object, but an arrow nearly hit him.
"Be careful!" The father exclaimed.
Two horses with two men on board came to destroy the Medici.
The two brothers understood each other immediately and Giuliano, after pulling out his sword, collided with one of them, Lorenzo instead took the spear of a fallen guard nearby.
They began to fight, and Piero with a risky move got out of the carriage and joined the fight, he was wounded by an arrow, Giuliano ran to him and put him in cover.
Lorenzo instead went to look for the man who used the bow, jumped on them, but he hit him with a stone, nothing happened to them and after taking an arrow he inserted it into the body of the man in front of him.
Giuliano went to help his brother and brought him back to the carriage.

Shortly after they arrived in Florence, in their Florence.
The two after entering the courtyard of the palace on horseback, got out and went to her mother, helped her to get off.
"You were strong father, you looked like one of those Greek gods Poliziano always talks about" said Giuliano smiling.

In front of them some dear friends of Lorenzo and Giuliano were waiting to hear from them.
"Lorenzo, did you kill a man?" His friend asked them
"Yes, Roberto"
"A brave and careless gesture," Sandro replied
"He has faced a shower of arrows" continued the young Poliziano
"Have you notified the Priors?" The major of the Medici asked
"Jacopo Pazzi has called an assembly in his palace," Roberto said as he took back the handkerchief he had given to Lorenzo.
Giuliano finally became part of the conversation "why in his palace?"
"To take power behind closed doors, it is better if we go"

Meanwhile he has Villa Ridolfi in Fiesole, the news of the attack came quickly. And quickly the servants packed the Ridolfi's bags who left immediately.
"But at least father tell me if they are well" Beatrice insisted on knowing the conditions of the Medici.
"We'll soon arrive and you'll find out for yourself," her father replied, looking at Fiammetta.
Jacopo and Cosimo were already in Florence, even Beatrice would have liked to arrive on horseback, she would have done earlier.
When they arrived in Florence, the girl did not even enter the house and she secretly went to Palazzo Pazzi, she knew that going there would not be a good idea, but she had to see Giuliano.
Hooded Beatrice arrived in front of the Palace, and anxiously waited for those present inside her to come out.
At a certain point she heard a rumor behind her, she turned, and Lorenzo and Giuliano were walking, calm but with a rigid face, Beatrice immediately ran to meet the two boys.
"You are fine luckily, I was afraid, what happened?" Beatrice who was holding Giuliano breathed a sigh of relief.
"You shouldn't have come here Beatrice, you know it's dangerous" replied the handsome boy "I know, but I had to see Giuliano there, I had to make sure that not only you but also Lorenzo were alive and well"
In a fit of concern Beatrice embraced Giuliano then Lorenzo.
"Sanguini Lorenzo, here you go" she took out a handkerchief and passed it first on the head wound and then in Lorenzo's hands.
"Thank you Beatrice"
"How is your father?"
"An arrow hit him in the leg, but you know him, he doesn't give up in front of these things" Ridolfi smiled and Lorenzo did the same.
