After Dr. Wilson left I went and laid down on the bed, I can't believe she thinks I have a thing for son, like what we have done in that little amount of time, be real.
Rolling my eyes at the thought I went over the events of the day so far, but was soon interrupted yet again by a knock at the door.
Getting up I went to the door and opened it to see Emily. Again.
"Ready to go?" She asked with big smile on her face.
"Sure." I said with a sigh. "What are we doing again?" I asked.
"We have group therapy right now." She said with a giggle.
"Oh." I said once again letting out a sigh, exiting my room and gesturing for her to lead the way. "So how does this work?" I asked.
"Well everyone goes in a circle and talks about what they're going though and if anyone can relate to it they get split up from the rest of the group to talk about it, that way they know they're not alone in what they are feeling." Emily explained.
"And if I don't want to share?" I asked.
"Then they mark it down as being 'uncooperative' and it'll take longer for you to get out of here." Emily replied.
"Is it bad if I don't care about staying here?" I asked, biting my lip.
"Do you not have anybody waiting for you?" She asked.
"Not exactly." I answered.
"I'm sorry to hear that, but you really should try to get out. This place can mess with your mind after awhile." Emily replied giving me a half smile.
"What do you mean?" I asked, everything she says raises more and more questions.
"Its hard to explain, just some things here are a little... off." Emily tried to explain, scrunching up her face slightly in thought.
"Try." I said, getting an uneasy feeling in stomach.
"Some of the others that have been here for awhile, are owing track of time like they will be in the middle of group and then next thing they know it's dinner time." She explained.
"So do you think they are using medications or something for them to be more... open?" I asked trying to understand.
"Thats what we think, but we have no proof, we all drink the same beverages, and eat the same food." She explained.
"Thats weird." I commented.
"It really is, so if I were you, try to get out of here before they do that to you as well." Emily replied, stopping suddenly. "We are here, hope you're ready."
Before I could respond she opened the door and ushered me into a room where there was twenty kids sitting in a circle.
"Everyone, welcome Alison, she is new and this is her first group session." You guessed it, Dr. Wilson is overseeing the sessions.
Rolling my eyes I went to take a seat however, the only other seat there was, was next to her son.
I could feel the eyes of everyone on me when I sat down next to Evan.
"You okay?" Evan asked quietly.
"Nope." I answered back.
"Whats wrong?" He asked.
"I don't wanna be in this group session." I said giving him a look.
Evan smirked at me and then replied. "Who wants to be in a group therapy session?"
All I could do was laugh at his remark, he was right of course, why would anyone sign up to be stuck in a group therapy session?
"Good point." I said through my laughter.
"Am I interrupting you?" Dr. Wilson voice cut through the air.
Only then did I realize how close she was to Evan and I.
"Actually mother, you are so if you'll just excuse us." Evan spoke up with a smile on his face, grabbing my hand and pulling me to my feet.
"Evan sit down." Dr. Wilson demanded pointing to his seat.
"Okay." He said dragging me to the otherside of the room and pulling me to the floor to sit.
"Evan, what are you doing?" I hissed quietly at him.
Evan looked at me and winked, instantly my cheeks heated up and I looked down at the floor in front of me.
"Alison. Get back in your seat." Dr. Wilson demanded me.
I went to get up but was pulled back down by Evan.
"Stay still." Evan saidnin a hushed voice by my ear.
"Why though? I'm gonna get in a lot of trouble." I whispered back.
"What is she gonna do?" Evan asked.
My mind went back to what Emily had told me earlier about the others missing time.
Is it rumor, or facts?
