Danny was breathing hard as he slowed his acceleration and decided to slowly trot beside Tucker who was walking quite fast. Sam was still full of energy and her proud demeanor caused her to decide to run backwards facing them. They continued to talk about their days at school. Tuck getting every girl he ever dreamed of, Sam befriending a new gothic vegetarian, named Terra, who recently transferred, and Danny's everyday life that consisted of him being chased by every person in the school. He had to admit it was strange being able to 'go ghost' in front of everyone when needed and not have it start a global nuclear war against him. The trio passed by Danny's statue in the middle of town square and gawked up at it unbelievingly. Sam stared at it with a proud look, Tuck with a sense of accomplishment in his eyes. Danny, on the other hand, was just about tired of it. He gawked at the giant pillars of granite with an irritated scowl as he replayed the footage of his feats of a few months ago in his head. Each memory flowed so smoothly together it didn't seem like it was real. More of a dream he wasn't sure or not he wanted to wake up from. Him, being outshines by profit seeking ghost fighters. Him, using the ghost portal to dispel himself of his supernatural powers, and feeling guilty after Sam blew up at him. Him, traversing the ghost zone as a full mortal doing what he could, then being infused once again with phantomistic abilities. Him, recruiting the assistance of billions of ghosts to turn the earth intangible, saving the earth and it's inhabitants from a demise by comet fall. The best of all thou... Sam laced her fingers once more into the grasp of the half ghost and gave a comforting squeeze... Him and Sam finally overcame their childish fears and confessed their love of each other and kissing for the first time as the sky glowed crimson due to the incoming comet. "Nothing like a good death scare to set a guy on the right track" Danny whispered almost to quiet for anyone to hear. Except Sam. She gave him a gentle smile and soft nudge as she spoke. " whatcha thinking about Danny" Sam purred. Danny jumped still having been enveloped in his flashbacks and turned to face his to friends. Tuck didn't let this opportunity slip through his hands and jumped into action.
"Yea! What are you thinking about Danny! You look like you were dreaming! What were you dreaming about huh, huh, huh." Tucker bounced slightly in place a giant grin plastered on his face as he distorted his features with every bounce. "Was it about me? Ghosts? Ghost obsessed parents?" Tucker stopped mid-bounce and his eyes narrowed mischievously as his voice became very suggestive.
"Sam?" He said in a slow pace moving his eye brows up and down. Danny's face immediately felt hot, as blood rushed to his face tinging his face red. Tuck jumped up and down with a triumphant "ha!" With each assent.
"I knew it! I knew it! I knew it! I knew you dreamt about her I knew it!" It took a moment to realize what tuck was referring to with 'dreamt'. He was referring to the show down with Nocturn the ghost of dreams. "At least we didn't dream about sharing chocolate milk with two girls that looked like Star!" Sam retorted. Tucker looked taken back but then then let out a snort and threw his head back laughing. His body was racketed with constant shaking and jerking as Tuck tried to calm himself. It was of no use, every time he glanced back at his friends' flushed faced sent another spasm of snorting and unrelenting laughter through his body, stronger then before.
"I swear you have one to many screws loose Tucker!" Sam nagged as Tucker roles on the ground in endless laughter. Danny let out a chuckle at his friends uncontrollable ordeal, that was quickly snatched away from him and was replaced by an oh so familiar sensation. Danny's chest tightened as his breath, icy and frigid, raced up his trachea and out past his lips leaving trails of liquidated crystals in its wake.
"Not the only screw that's loose," Danny murmured. Sam and Tuck stopped their whole ordeal and stared at him, eyes full of recognition. It had been a while sense he had his ghost sense activated, and yet the trio all still knew what it meant.
" trouble" Danny whispered. Not any sooner were the words out of his mouth, that all hell broke loose.
