As soon as the words were out of his mouth the world around them began shaking. Sam was shaken of her feat and landed with a thud on the cement, her arm smacking Tucker's torso on her way down, making Tucker yelp in surprise. The crowds around the trio were scattering as a rift opened up in the earth right under Danny's feet.
"Earthquake!" A bystander shouted as the rift widened with a jolt. This was no earthquake. Danny fell to his knees as he lost his balance and crumpled to the sidewalk, the rough surface scraped across his hand leaving large serrated flesh trails behind. Danny was looking straight into the abyss scared threw the planets surface. Danny knew right away what this foreign slash was. Immediately beyond the chasm walls was a light green hue. The substances slid past each other creating a mass collection of green hues. Judging by the chills that ran down Danny's spine this was no ordinary rift. This was a portal into the ghost zone. It was only a matter of time before it's inhabitants escaped threw it.
" I am going ghost!" Danny shouted from his kneeling position. His body began humming with power, this familiar sensation of ectoplasmic energy flowing through his veins deep down into his very DNA. He never got tired of this ecstatic feeling, the feeling of becoming something greater then yourself. A ring snapped open in the very center of Danny's torso completely surrounding him in its welcomed appearance. Danny smiled as he felt his very being change as the ring split and made its assent up his body, and the identical ring descending down his legs and finally at his feet. His normal white tee was replaced by a skin tight black suit and white eggshell colored gloves and boots. The new attire was welcomed. No one understood how hard it was to fight ghosts in baggy clothes. Danny sure did and was thankful for the new get up with each morph. His signified white 'D' plastered on his chest radiated power as he finished his morph. Danny's jet black hair was replaced with Snow White follicles that floated across his scalp like a sea of arctic snow. His eyes dyed themselves an ectoplasmic green, which quickly overshadowed the dull blue they normally were. His morph was complete and man did it feel awesome. With a forceful thrust Danny, now in his ghost form, catapulted into the air with a ecstatic "yea" Danny hovered in place as he combined his legs into a ghostly tale. It was strange not having legs but at the same time it felt normal. Danny looked down at his friends. Sam managed to get her footing and was aiming her wrist blaster at the portal, while Tucker looked around with a confused look.
" yo, Danny! Why don't I have any cool trinkets?!" Tucker shouted at Danny, who was suspended mid-air above them.
" It'll have to wait till later Tucker, we have bigger problems to deal with. Something made that portal something's gonna come out." Danny replied in a serious tone not removing his gaze from its target.
" I know, it stinks getting overdone by a girl all the time though." Tucker pouted. Danny turned his head and smirked at Sam
"Tell me about it, she still outshines me," Sam returned the smile and their gazes were locked for a moment until Tucker brought then back to reality.
"Come on guys! Is this really the best time to be making goo goo eyes at each other." Tucker exclaimed.
" nope it's not" Danny replied. "And I think it's about show time" Danny added. The earth gave one more groan as the rift widened the rest of the way, and the ghostly being spired from the portal and hovered a few meters from Danny Tucker and Sam. Danny extended his hand ready to blast any ongoing attack it might bring, while Sam and Tucker held there advantage points from down below.
"Hold your fire, friends I don't come here to fight you" the phantom chivied at the gang. Danny's eyes grew huge as these words of peace waft through air and into his ear canals, making them ring. "No fight huh," Danny thought to himself, "There has got to be a catch here somewhere" Danny's eyes remained taut as he check over the new intruder taking in the details that could help him if there was an issue. The ghostly being was slender and not muscled. It didn't look like he would be much of a threat if he did decide to attack them. Then again thou that theory had always backfired before why have it change now. A pair of spidery glasses sat at the very edge of his crooked nose, giving him the scientist look. That was never a good thing. It might be Danny's hatred of science teachers in general he figured a scientist would be 10 times worse. His torso slimmed out into what appeared to be a snaked tail, scaled in red and black ridges scales. Black and red scales, snake body, scientist, Danny was about to say, "strike 3 your out" if it hadn't been for one thing. Danny skimmed his facial features. Wrinkly lip line? Check. Think ghostly grey hair? Check. Eyes? Eyes! This guy had very unusual eyes. Instead of the beady green eyes of all ghosts he had met. This ghost's eyes were pasty white with a dark black pupil plaster in the middle of his iris. His irises were neon violet, almost to unnatural to be unnatural. Danny had never seen eyes as distinct as these, it was intriguing, calming, while being troublesome all the same, and they looked so familiar, so gentle. Danny lowered his arm and let his beam slowly subside from where it built up in his palm and spoke. "What did you come here for, any wrong moves and I'll blast you into next week!" Danny stated firmly, trying to keep up his ruthless appearance he wanted to maintain. Best not to show your enemies that you are weak, cowardly, and just a 15 year old boy on the inside.
"My name is Vepear and I think you want to hear what I have to say," Vepear's gaze was almost desperate as he clasped his hands together and pleaded with the trio. Sam had lowered her weapon to her side, and tuck had his PDA out typing frantically. They didn't seem to be in a big panic about this so neither should he. Danny nodded his head and repeated his latest statement. "Ok we will hear you out."
Vepear smiled gently, which strangely made Danny feel warm, and safe, whatever it was what Vepear had to say, Danny knew it was going to be important. "But first," Danny replied, "I have to close this portal that you opened. Don't want any other unwelcome visitors coming through." With that Danny swooped down and started his task of 'reverse polarity.'
