****KANKURO'S P.O.V*******
~at the sand siblings houses Few hours before the club~

" I cant wait to hit the dancefloor!" - an eager temari yelled out from her room

" aaahh geez do we really have to dance temari?" - an annoyed shikamaru asked rubbing the back of his head slouching down on the living room couch

" NO WE ALL GOT DRESSED UP SO WE CAN SIT ON OUR ASSES ALL NIGHT" OF COURSE WE'RE GOING TO DANCE! - temari sarcastically barked back

" Maaaaaaannnn women are such a drag"- a defeated shika muffled

" I assume Naruto Uzumaki will be meeting us over there . Right?" - a calmed Gaara asked

" Thats the plan, Naruto and some of the konoha 12 will be meeting us over there at 12 am. THATS IF TEMARI HURRIES UP SO WE CAN GET A MOVING! geez woman what are you doing!? - shika questioned getting up from the couch heading towards Temari's room to see what the hold up was.

I was sitting on the love seat across from the couch twiddling my thumbs to distract myself. Geez I usually don't agree with the guy but this time I am with Shikamaru on this one. I am definitely not looking forward to clubbing tonight, I don't see the whole appeal of it, 10 bucks for one lousy beer and listening to god awful pop music blasting into your ear drum while bumping into sweaty people? I rather stay at the house, get a 12 pack listen and listen to some metallica and call it a night! But its Temari's birthday and she INSISTED that BOTH Gaara and I go and celebrate with her tonight or else she will ring our necks!!

the second option doesn't sound that bad right about now., but apparently Temari set Gaara and I with some dates tonight so it was too late to bail. Temari always trying to play match maker with her little brothers. Gaara doesn't even need to try, he's the freaking kazekage woman automatically flocked to him like a bunch of sea gulls but however gaara has zero clue when woman are flirting with him or anything about relationships in general , the guy didnt even know that Temari and Shikamaru were a thing! I cant be worse than Gaara!
( I just dont want to look like a total loser in front of everyone ) All the guys have a special lady in their lives and I havent even been in a relationship since my last breakup.

* small flashback*

" I am sorry kankuro but your just totally not it for me." - ex

" So instead of being straight up and honest with me you go behind my back and cheat on me!? We been together for almost a year and your telling me you been with this guy for half our relationship!?" - i cried out

" Honestly i thought it would be cool to date the kazekage's brother since I heard you had a lil crush on me but your a TOTAL FREEEAAK! you play with dolls ! and wear that weird purple makeup like some failed makeup guuru! Not to mention like how god awful your " aesthetic " is! - EX

" my what now??? are you talking about my taste in music and how i dress???" - i questioned

" yeeeeaaaaaa babes, your style aint it, sorry not sorry. good luck with what ever you got goin on for yourself. Maybe if you stopped playing with dolls so much you would get some pussy " - my ex laughed before driving off with the guy she been cheating on me with.

"Well at least I still hit" as i flipped her the bird before her two timing ass drove off.

I went back inside and went to my little workshop. I sat down tuning up crow and ant when temari walked in nagging me about what happened between me and two timer.

"I CANT BELIEVE SHE CHEATED ON YOU AND TO TOP IT ALL OF TRIED TO GET FAMOUS OF YOU BECAUSE YOUR GAARA'S BROTHER!"- temari yelled

" dont worry about it Temari, i dodged a bullet." i sighed trying to distract myself from the whole mess by working on my puppets

" Ima kick her ass! you want me to kick her ass? cause i will totally do it kankuro!"- temari bursted hitting the air

" NO ONE ISNT KICKING ANY ONES ASS! I am not wasting my energy on someone who calls me weird because of my puppets and having the audacity to call them "DOLLS"- i said waving my wrench

" well she wasnt wrong on that part, kankuro. I mean I understand you fight with puppets but, you're to invested into them not to mention i catch you talking to your own puppets! This isnt going to help you in the lady department."- temari confessed

" I guess ill stay single forever then." i said frustrated. not looking away from my work bench, upset that even temari thinks that way. I just want someone to accept me for who i am .

**end of flashback***
Temari was persistent to putting me back in the dating game but it just never worked out between me and the girls she tried to line me up with. She has this weird fear that I am going to die alone.
Temari setup Gaara with Matsuri and set me up with Sari. Two kunoichi from Suna. I was nerves but at the same time kind of looking forward to the date (We known the girls for a pretty long time now so maybe this date isn't going to be so bad plus Sari was pretty cute). I been having a crush on Sari for some time , so i was looking forward to finally shoot my shot with her.The girls were supposed to meet us at the house so we can all leave together.
*Knock Knock * was heard at the front door 🚪
" I'll get it, it's probably the girls." I said getting up from the love seat to open the door.
"



He-hey Kankuro"- greeted Matsuri. Matsuri had on a pretty red cocktail dress with black heels on.



" Hey Matsuri! Come on in Gaara is in the living room we were just expecting you ." - i said holding the door for her, i looked behind her searching for Sari but the street was empty . "Is Sari parking the car or something? I don't see her ???" I asked.
" I texted her but she hasn't replied back to me.Let me shoot her another text maybe she never received the first one" - Matsuri answered .
Matsuri got on her phone to text Sari and then sat next to Gaara greeting each other and after a few minutes they were in their own little bubble. Matsuri and Gaara secretly liked each other. They just didn't know the other one liked the other one back. Two clueless love birds .
I walked into the kitchen to get a beer, trying not to think of the idea i was going to be stood up. Another 20 minutes passed by and Temari finally came out her room with shikamaru. Temari was wearing a champagne colored dress with gold heels wearing a "birthday girl" sash and tiara.



" Finally! I thought any second now i was going to die of old age waiting for you!" I complained
" You cant rush perfection Kankuro." Temari smiled
"Yea doesnt seem like shika was in a rush making that hickey on your neck"- i laughed pointing at the red spot on my sister's neck
Shikamaru and Temari turned red simultaneously.
Temari smacked me behind my head out of embarrassment "BAKA!" She screamed. Temari was going to go in for the kill until she noticed Matsuri.
" Matsuri! Hey girly I didn't know you were here!".
- oh thank god- i thought to myself rubbing the bump on my head.
"Where's Sari? Is she still coming???" Temari questioned
*chime phone notification *
Matsuri reached to her phone and read the text message she just received. " its from Sari, she says shes going to meet us at the club, shes still getting ready." Matsuri shared.
" woooooooooow Sounds like Sari is trying to put on a good impression for you kankuro" Temari teased elbow jabbing my arm. " when a woman is fond over a guy she takes her time to look her very best for him." Temari ended giving me wink. I blushed at the thought of Sari taking her time to impress me. " kankuro why are you wearing makeup!? Wipe it off for a night you dont want to embarrass Sari now!" Temari nagged trying to rub my face with a makeup wipe she took out from her purse. " First of all its FACEPAINT not makeup and second No way the facepaint stays on!" I explain grabbing temari's wrist trying to stop her from rubbing my purple face paint off. "Well if Sari is going to meet us at Konoha no sense in lounging around here any longer, we should head out now so we're dont show up late and keep everyone waiting ." Shikamaru interrupted looking at his watch.
"All right guys let go and get this party started!!!!" Temari cheered grabbing onto Shikamaru.

" yes lets get going now, shall we?" Gaara got up offering his arm for Matsuri to take.

I followed behind holding onto my beer watching them smile at each other in envy.
