"We need to tell the boy."

"Not yet." Bruce shook his head.

"Yeah, Bruce if he don't tell him, if we lie to him, it'll be better." Clark chided, his voice filled with sarcasm.

"At least he'll still have hope." Bruce reasoned.

"I'd rather have no hope, than false hope." Clark shook his head. "False hope leads to more pain, Bruce. You know that."

"I do." Bruce said silently. "Fine. You'll tell him."

"Okay... I'm better with kids, than you anyway." Clark teased.

"What's that supposed to mean, Kent?" Bruce glared at him.

"Nothin." Clark shrugged his shoulders. After gathering evidence, Bruce and Clark made their way back to the Batcave.

The Batcave.

Bruce was investigating the evidence that they gathered as Clark was standing behind him observing him doing his work.

"Jonathan's staying here for the night?" Bruce raised a brow.

"He wants to spend more time with Damian and Jack... so yes." Clark nodded. "Why?" He raised a curious brow as he crossed his arms.

"Nothing." Bruce shook his head, as he kept his gaze on the machines that he was using. "He's a good kid, Clark." He said coldly, surprising Clark.

"Th-Thanks." Clark chuckled. "Damian's a good kid too, you know."

"I wouldn't be too sure." Bruce admitted.

"Oh, c'mon Bruce." Clark groaned, disapprovingly. "The kid's got his... troubles... but he's a good kid."

"He's got too much of Al Ghul in him." Bruce sighed, as he leaned back. "I can't even reach him... change him."

"He's supposed to change on his own, Bruce." Clark pointed out.

"It was so simpler with Dick." Bruce pinched the bridge of his nose out of frustration.

"But he's not Dick." Clark corrected him. "He grew up in far worse conditions, you told me and Jon."

"Jon's doing a better job in making him slowly change than me." Bruce said coldly.

"Jon's not doing anything..." Clark corrected. "Damian's changing on his own. It's not about controlling someone to change Bruce, it's about guiding them back to the right path. Like what you did with Jason."

"Right... scout." Bruce scoffed.

"You're scoffing right now, because you know I'm right." Clark smirked.

"You think you know everything about me, don't you?" Bruce growled.

"I don't think. I know it." Clark shook his head. "For years I've told you, that opening up more isn't bad, since you have a family now. A proper one." Clark waited for Bruce to respond, but Bruce kept working.

"Right." Bruce simply said.

"I've got to go home... The boys are asleep now anyway, I'll talk to Jack tomorrow." Clark informed Bruce.

"Right." Bruce simply said. Clark left as he discretely flew out of the Batcave, leaving him alone. Bruce then leaned back on the chair again, as he took of his cowl. He let out a big sigh, as he rubbed his forehead.

Tomorrow.

Bruce had been gone for the whole day, as he had to keep up appearances at work. He had told Alfred what had transpired last night, as for the whole day he was worried to how Jack would react to the tragic news. Clark had work today, and would make his way to finally talk to the boys. Jack, Damian and Jon had no idea of the news yet. Damian and Jon were in school today as Alfred picked them up via helicopter, accompanied by Jack. The helicopter landed on the massive field by West-Reeve School.
