"Y/N!!!" Sooyoung yelled! "Who is that?" she squinted her eyes to focus on Jungkook, as you still stood snuggled in each other's arms. "Wait, hold up, is that... is that..?" her voice trailed off as her eyes grew wide in shock.

Jungkook cradled his face into your shoulder to hide his face, but you knew it was too late. You pushed him away from you and turned to face her, a lump already building in your throat. You knew that Sooyoung would feel betrayed to know that you hid something from her, even more so because it was about BTS, and probably the craziest thing that had ever happened to either one of you in your entire lives.

"That's fucking Jungkook isn't it?? ISN'T IT???" she yelled, her voice getting shriller with every word. She stomped towards the two of you, her steps swaying drunkenly. Jungkook crouched behind you and grabbed your arms like a shield.

"Come out Jungkook-shi, I'd know those tattoos even if I were blind!" she said and then laughed at her own absurdity. "Y/N, what's happening here?" she finally turned to look you in the eyes. You grabbed Jungkook by the arm and pulled him out from behind you, while you looked down at your feet with guilt. He stepped out nervously and waved at Sooyoung, then cracked a smile. Like a switch, he seemed to turn the charm on.

Even though Sooyoung was sure of who it was, when she saw Jungkook appear, she cupped her face in her hands, with her mouth wide open. It looked like she drew in a large breath, ready to scream. "I think I'm about to be sick," she said instead and ran to the far corner of the alley to throw up. You followed close behind her and soothed her back as you held her hair back.

When she was done, she crawled to the other side of the lane and settled on the ground with her back against the wall. "Sooyoung-ah are you okay?" you asked, patting her face gently. "How much have you had to drink?" You felt relieved to see her giggle, as she looked at you, and then at Jungkook, and then back at you, while he still stood timidly in the same spot.

"Stay with her," you instructed him, as you went back inside the bar. When you returned with a bottle of water, he was sitting comfortably on the ground beside her, as she mumbled things in a low groan, that made them both chuckle.

"T-Tell my winter bear, my-my baby... tell him, I looooovvveee him," she drawled, as she slipped to one side. Jungkook caught her on his shoulder and patted her head affectionately. "I will, I will," he smiled, as he watched you walk towards them. You felt a warm glow spread through your heart, and a lump reappeared in your throat. He looked closely at your face as you kneeled beside them and caught the gleam off your eyes as they welled up. He reached out to caress your hand gently, still holding Sooyoung on his shoulder. His warm consoling touch and concerned eyes moved you and brought forth more tears. You smiled and nodded at him, to let him know you were alright. "I'm just silly and sentimental," you shrugged. In a world full of arrogant declarations of undying love, you were just a sucker for humble moments of tenderness – a shared moment of meaningful silence, a reassuring nod of acceptance, an unconditional kind touch.

You pulled Sooyoung up and held her as she drank water and washed her face. All the while, you could feel Jungkook's gaze following you, and it made the hair on the back of your neck stand on edge. Sooyoung went back to her spot near Jungkook and slumped down on the ground again, looking less drunk that before.

"So, Jungkook-shi," she chirped, "how long has this been going on, huh?" she poked him on his arm, then mimicked a burnt finger as she pulled it back and blew on it, implying that he was too hot to touch.

"It's not like that," you chimed in, trying to explain. "You," she pointed at you with the same fake-burnt finger, "I will talk to you later, when we are alone. But you Jungkook-sshi," her speech slurred as she turned her attention back to him, "I expected better of you." "She-she did," she paused as she snickered, pointing at you again. "For once, she did what anyone would have done. I mean, who wouldn't want to pounce on you? Hell, have you looked at yourself in the mirror, ever?," she buried her face in her palms. "But you? You should have more self-control – you have a responsibility to the Army!" she said as she leapt up, swaying to one side from the sudden head rush.
