*Peter's POV*

"Long time no see, Pan. What an honor to have you coming here to see me." The sinister deep voice welcomed me as I stepped past the entrance of Dark Hollow.

"I don't need your sarcasm right now. I want answers." I firmly stated.

I could hear the whisper of the other shadows in here, all around me. They were crying, pleading, begging to be free of this place. It would make my skin crawl if I wasn't used to it. Eventhough it's been a long time since I last came here myself, I had came at this place often enough not to be disturbed by that anymore. The cries came from the souls imprisoned here by my Shadow. He killed people and then trapped their shadows in this place, where they are forced to live eternally in the darkness, until they become of use. As it was all dark, I couldn't see anything but their glittering eyes floating around.

"Such a serious little boy." He chuckled while he approached me, knowing very well how this kind of comment affected me. I frowned and tried to ignore it.

"What is the matter, my young master?" He asked me.

"You know what the matter is. The pipe." I told him. "Why did it affect me? It's not supposed to have

any power over me, yet it did, somehow. I want to know why."

My eyes were getting used to the darkness and I could now see the odd shapes of the trees around me.

"Nothing's wrong with the pipe, Pan. Its power is still the same, nothing has changed."

My fists tightened and I sighed out of annoyance. This was starting to get on my nerves because I hated the fact I didn't know, the fact I didn't understand what was happening. And feeling that the Shadow was hiding things from me only added fuel to the fire.

"Tell me the truth."

The Shadow flew just in front of me so my eyes and his were on the same level. And although he didn't have a face, I could sense he was smirking at me, pleased by my anger.

"You know I can't lie to you. Something may have happened, but it was not the pipe."

"What then? I've lived in Neverland for hundreds of years and nothing ever affected me."

I was connected with everything on this island, every little bit of it was under my control. Yet I never felt anything more powerful than me, so what was different now? It couldn't be the island itself, because I was the one "feeding" it and keeping it alive. Without me, it wouldn't exist anymore. It couldn't be the boys either, that was a certainty. Firstly, they didn't have any kind of power, and secondly, even if they did, they were too loyal to me to try anything against me. So whatever it was, it wasn't something that was here before, it must be something new.

It must be...

My eyes narrowed at the realization.

"Is it... her?"

"Have you find out?" The shining stones before me blinked a few times.

"It's not... possible. How can SHE have any power on me when she doesn't even know how to use it?"

The Shadow laughed at me. "She's stronger and more powerful than you think, Pan. Her strenght wouldn't equal yours normally, but your powers are diminishing, that's why it affects you."

I gritted my teeth and closed my eyes. "This can't happen." The mere thought of anyone else having more power than me sent waves of rage and disgut in my blood. I was Peter Pan, I couldn't permit that, especially not in Neverland, my own place.

"I suppose you went to Skull Rock to check the hourglass. You have to hurry up, if you want to live." The Shadow reminded me, as if I didn't know it. I scoffed at him and began to pace between the dim trees.
