*Lidia's POV*
We arrived at the camp rather quickly, which made me realize I had not ran as far as I thought. I tried to memorize the surroundings and differents paths while walking but it was impossible, everything just looked the same everywhere. Trees, bushes, plants, lianas, grass, branches. The cave in which I hid had been covered with plants as well, so I was certain I wouldn't be able to find it again. Basically, my little escape would have not helped one bit. On the contrary, I was sure it was going to make things worse with Pan. I stepped into the perimeter of the camp, lead by Sebastian, with fear in my stomach.
The Boys were already there, sat at their places near the firecamp, as though they were awaiting us, which they probably were. As Sebastian sat me down in the middle, I sighted Felix leaning on a tree at the back, smirking at me with a I-wouldn't-like-to-be-in-your-position look. I bit my lower lip nervously and searched for the most frightening boy of them all, Pan.
Soon enough, I saw him coming out of his tent and walking almost merrily towards us all. No frown? No gritted teeth? No tight fists? And no dark glances at me? I blinked a few times to be sure I was seeing well. He wasn't looking as angry as I thought, but surely his happy face didn't mean everything was all right neither. I swallowed and wondered what he was preparing for me this time.*Peter's POV*
"Look who's back." I exclaimed as I stopped before her and looked down at her. Lidia frowned at my excited voice.
"Glad it makes you so happy." She glared at me.
"Oh but it does, dear Lidia. You know I can't live without you." She just rolled her eyes but I laughed internally at the irony. If only she knew what it truly meant.
"Cut it and just tell me what my punishment will be." She asked anxiously.
I was quite surprised she brought the topic first, since I always was the one talking about the punishments. I guessed she was used to getting punished by now, after all I put her through. However I smiled and shook my head.
"I'm not going to punish you."
She looked a bit shocked as she frowned suspiciously.
"Really?"
"Yes, really."
"Why?"
I chuckled at the answer. "Why? Are you asking for it?" I teased her.
She scoffed. "No, it's just that I didn't think you'd let that pass so easily."
"I wouldn't let it pass normally, but since you already got your punishment I think it's enough for a day."
"W-what? What do you mean?"
"Indeed, I think an almost-drowning is good enough as a punishment, don't you think so?" I asked her with a playful smirk.
Her eyes widened in realization. "You saw?"
"Of course I saw" I nodded " I was there. I was there all along from the moment you ran on the beach from the forest and rushed into the water like a wild animal, thinking you could really reach that ship by swimming." I laughed. Indeed it had been quite the scene. I didn't think she was crazy enough to try to do it, until I saw her coming out of her hideout. I was flying over her, carefully hidden by large branches. The best moment was the look on her face when she saw the ship and thought she was going to escape, as though she was touched by the divine light.
"How...I mean..why..." She was too shocked to be able to form a sentence and the look on her face was priceless. I sighed at her and shook my head once again.
"Lidia, Lidia. You didn't really think you could hide from me, did you? I told you, I am the king of Neverland. I rule and I command everything that happens here, and nothing escapes me. Especially not you."
"So...you had an eye on me since the moment I ran away?"
"Exactly. I knew your exact position at all times since you tried so stupidly to escape. I didn't actually see you or saw what you were doing until I moved to find you, but I knew where you were all along."
She was at a loss for words and only looked at me as I was a alien, or a monster. Which I was, actually. Her eyes lighted up after a moment as though she had realized something.
"Did you..did you purposely let me drown to...to punish me, although you could have helped me right form the start?!" Her eyes were piercing through my head in concentration, as if she was mentally preparing for my answer. After a moment of reflexion, I broke into a sly smile and shrugged innocently.
"Yes."
The girl jumped on me so fast I for once didn't see that coming. Before I got the time to reject her with my powers, I was flat on my back with Lidia on top, throwing a punch at me. Although it didn't really hurt given my condition of magical being, I still felt a twinge of pain on my left cheek and something wet on my lip. I didn't even had to throw her away myself since a pair of arms grabbed Lidia's and got her off me as she screamed furiously at me.
"You sick bastard! I almost drowned and you didn't even lift a damn finger to do anything! How can you be so heartless, you insane jerk! You kidnapped me, chased me, hit me and traumatized me, but that's too much for God's sake! I almost died!!"
"Shut up or I'll make you!" Felix yelled at her as he was trying to immobilize her while she kicked in the air madly.
I sat up and whipped the blood off my lip as a smirk formed on my face. Any other day I would have made her pay for it right away, but this time it only made me laugh.
"Not bad, for a girl." I whispered. I stood up and used my magic to make the pain in my cheek disappear instantly. Like new.
Sebastian came to help Felix and captured her hands behind her back, as I walked towards her. She was giving me a venomous look that could have scared me if I wasn't the devil myself.
"In case I wasn't clear enough, I wouldn't have let you die because I need you alive. Remember that." Then pointing at Sebastian "I didn't do anything because Sebastian had already seen you and was coming for you."
Truthfully, I enjoyed the scene. Watching her struggle to keep herself above the water, a look of despair in her eyes and her breathe accelerating as her screams got stuck in her throat. I didn't care if she was the savior of Neverland at that moment, I was just glad she was getting a payback for daring to defy me.
