She found the room empty of Adelaide when she entered assuming the girl had gotten bored in her absence and left. The only positive thing that came out of that day was the fact that Constance had called her informing her that she would be taking Michael out of town for a birthday party. She sat in her room for a while returning to her favorite past time activity, staring out of the widow unto the old almost dead tree outside her window for a while to make sure everyone had left the house and after hearing her mother and Axel yell a goodbye to her and slam the door she got of the bed to go to the kitchen for her long awaited peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
"Hey Moira" she said smiled at the old woman leaning across the counter looking the plate of fresh baked cookies.
"Oh hello there Siren" Moira offered her a kind smile pointing towards the plate of cookies "Help yourself I made them myself, peanut butter cookies"
"You dont know how much how much I love you now Moira" she said with a wide smile reaching for a cookie and starting nibbling on it.
"How was today, I heard Axel had another one of his sup-" however the rest of Moira's sentence fell on deaf ears as she heard another voice. One that Siren was sure only she could hear.
"Missed me little girl"
The cookie was suddenly dropped as Moira's attention turned from doing the dished to the girl just to see her staring with wild eyes at the counter.
It seamed like time had stilled for the young girl as she could even hardly bring herself to breath, she kept telling herself that the voice was just a figment of imagination, as the memories from the last time she heard that voice came back to her. A touch to her shoulder was what brough her back to reality and she looked up to meet Moira's concerned eyes.
"Honey are you okay, it looked like you were miles away" Moira questioned gently rubbing the girls shoulder.
She shook her head while taking a step away from the counter, the cookies already forgotten "Yeah, I just remembered something I had to do"
And with her last remaining effort she walked out of that kitchen with slow steps trying not to further concern the old woman but once she was out of eye shot she ran the rest of the way up to her room slamming the door shut, sitting against it.
"Why are you back" she whispered to the seamingly empty room but she could help but feel the owner of the voice right there with her "You got me last time, wasn't that enough for you?"
"Dont you see?" the voice once again rang in her proving her worst fears that it was infact not just something she imagined "You are still here breathing, my work isn't done as long as you are still above ground"
Siren could no longer hold back as soft helpless sobs left her lips her eyes hidden in her hands. Once again she felt a hand on her shoulder and opened her mouth to scream only to see the woman from the basement. Nora.
"W-what do you want?" she asked not even bothering to hide the tearing trying her hardest to focus on the woman Infront of her and not the shadowy figure right behind her. The body, well if you could call her that, of the voice ringing in her head "She is here please help me"
With panic evident in her voice she tried crawling closing to Nora her hands trying to grasp to any part of the ghostly woman.
"Sweetheart, sweetheart calm down" Nora bent down to the girls level holding her hands while looking around the room trying to locate the source of this inhuman fear she could see in the young girls eyes.
Breathing seamed to long be forgotten by Siren all air leaving her lungs in sobs as she felt her chest tightening at the sight of the shadowy figure her voice just above a horse whisper "Don't let her take me, I can't end up there again please I would rather die"
"Don't let who take you honey" Nora asked her voice sounded more grounded and concerned than ever before "Is she a ghost in the house?"
For the first time since the girl got to her room, her eyes looked up to the pale's woman's own her vision already blurry by the tears and lack of breathing "Delphyne isn't a ghost, she is a demon, my demon"
Nora tried to hide the shock in her eyes, grabbing a pillow that had been previously thrown to the floor by Adelaide and putting it behind the girls head helping her lay down " You need to lay down, this is all this house's down. The evil in this house knows no end"
Siren slowly laid her head down on the pillow her eyes slowly closing as she saw the shadow figure disappearing as well as her own eyes slowly closing " This isn't the first time" a last choked sob left her mouth before her eyes closed and her breathing slowly evened out.
She wonderered if it had all been a dream , her vision still blurry but she could almost make out the three figures standing around her as her eyes fought to stay open.
"And you are sure she said demon, it could've been Hayden or any of those sickos, we do have a collection here" A male voice said as she blinked more aggressivly trying to stabalize her vision for a moment with no avail.
A sight was heard before another voice responded " Yes Tate, she said demon and besides Hayden and the rest are still waiting with their plan to make them move out"
"She met her that wouldnt have anything to do with this would it?" the male voice she now realized belonged to Tate asked.
With her once again blurry vision she saw the first woman, Nora, shaking her head moving her gaze to Tate "She said she didn't want to go there again" she whispered noticing the girl waking up "You have to talk to her Tate, dont make the same mistakes you made before"
Once Siren managed to open her eyes she notice the two women being gone and Tate stood there awkwardly by her bed alone.
"Be careful" he said noticing she was trying to get up from the floor and helped her lean against the door "You know, you can talk to me Siren, I know you said all that stuff about me looking for someone to run to but still, I'm the last one to judge you"
The girl looked up at him for a moment looking like she was actually considering it before she lowered her gaze to the floor shaking her head "You might now judge me, but she will"
He slowly leaned down sitting cross legged across her with a unsure hand on her knee making her look up at him again "Siren, who is she?"
She looked at him for a moment before staring at the shadowy figure behind him making him turn around to look at the empty space before turning to her again expecting an answer.
"Siren, no one will hurt you I'm here I would leave you"
"Yea doesn't seam like you have the best track record for sticking around" she shot back refering to this alluring figure only known to the girl as her , her voice sounding harsher than expected before shaking her head getting up " It's nothing for you to worry about"
She grabbed the pillow she was previously passed on and threwing it on the bed before sitting down herself now looking at the boy sat with her back turned to her.
They just sat there in silence for a moment, Tates eyes glued to where she was previously sat seamingly out of words and she was sat there just staring at his back. After a moment he got up without turning to her opening the door " For what its worth I didnt leave her I never did, she was the one that left" before leaving the room completly he stopped in his track eyes almost looking back at her before he stopped himself "Moira was quite worried for you, she was waiting for you to wake up downstairs"
