Maddie's POV
Authors Note: This is directly after Chloe and Josh were hanging out.
Josh walks up to my front step.
His face is streaked with sweat and dirt. He must've come from some sort of practice.
"Hey Mad." He sighs.
"Hey boo," I chirp, standing in my tip toes to kiss his cheek.
Josh flinches back. "Uh, Maddie I gotta talk to you-"
My phone vibrates. "OH. EM. GEEEEE!" I screech. "Paige broke up with Mikey! This is a travestyy!" I sing-song.
Josh's face falls. "That really stinks, but Maddie. I'm really sorry but... I'm in love with Chloe." He tells me.
My heart stops beating.
I don't blink.
My feet feel like lead.
My cheat tightens.
My stomach churns.
I, well, I throw up.
"What?" I whisper, my eyes tearing up.
"I-I'm breaking up with you." replies Josh, he head hanging low.
"I love you Josh." I snarl through fighting back tears, and slam the door shut in his face.
Those streaks of sweat on his face...
I think...
I think they were lip gloss.
