|Avengers Headquarters|Adeline walked into the large room. It smelled surprisingly good considering it was a place meant to sweat in. Workout equipment filled the room as well as multiple wrestling mats and two boxing rings.
"Wow," Adeline breathed. "Now this is a little bigger than the men's boxing center that Bucky worked at." Steve chuckled.
"Yeah, a bit," Steve responded. "You know they still have that place open, right? Just like it was in 1930."
"No way," Adeline said.
"Yeah!" Steve said. "The walls are lined with any photo of Bucky or I. It's also not only men. I'm pretty sure that's illegal now."
"That's a comforting thought," Adeline said.
"Well, then, let's see it," Steve said, holding his hand out to gesture to the wrestling mat. Adeline walked over, placing her gym bag down. She took out a pair of leggings, looking at them in horror.
"Women really wear these?" Adeline asked and Steve nodded.
"They're good for working out. That's what Natasha said," Steve responded. "She always wears them when she's working out so I figured you might want to try them." Adeline frowned, feeling the strange material between her fingers. She sat down at a bench, taking off her shoes and pulling on some socks then her leggings.
"Jeez, they're tight," Adeline exclaimed as she pulled them over her knees and under her dress. "They're like tights! My goodness, how do people work out in these?" She pulled them up the rest of the way, bending her legs all different directions to test their fit. Steve watched, amusement glittering in his eyes.
"Well?" Steve prompted.
"You sure you didn't get the wrong size?" Adeline asked, raising the bottom of her dress to reveal the leggings.
"They look like they fit right." Adeline let go of the skirt of her dress, unsatisfied.
"Well, I guess I'll try them out," Adeline said, grabbing a plain fitted t-shirt from her bag and turning her back to Steve. "Unzip me, please?"
"Sure," he said, lowering the zipper to her lower back before turning around so she could change.
"Okay, I'm ready," Adeline said, turning to face Steve.
"Wow, you look like a completely different person," he said, looking her up and down. "You look like you're from this century is what I mean."
"Oh, good," Adeline said, turning to look at herself in the mirror. She turned, observing every angle. The door to the gym opened, revealing Tony.
"Having a fashion show here?" He asked and Adeline looked up. "Wow, that's not what I imagined your lower half to look like." Tony gestured to Adeline's legs and she placed her hands on her hips, raising her eyebrows.
"We're just getting started with Adeline's training," Steve said, clearing his throat as Adeline walked over to wrap her hands.
"Great! I want to see what our new recruit can do," Tony said.
"She's not the new recruit," Steve said. "We're just training for better control over her abilities."
"We'll see," Tony said as Adeline walked over to the mat followed by Steve who was wrapping his own hands.
"Let's see what you remember, alright?" Steve said, getting in a fighting stance and Adeline nodded, mimicking his stance. Steve made the first move, lunging at Adeline with his fist quicker than she expected. She stumbled backward, letting out a gasp as she regained her footing. She sent a punch to his face which he effortlessly blocked. This was going to be harder than she had originally thought. He raised his foot, kicking her in the chest, sending her flying backward, landing heavily on the mat. She sucked in a deep breath before kicking herself up. She instantly ducked under Steve's fist and kneed him in the chest before an elbow to the face. He gripped her bicep, throwing her over his shoulder. She landed on her feet, looking up as he adjusted the wrappings around his hand.
