Chapter 8 | Med- bay

"These are all signs of child abuse" he said

Lorenzo/Natalia's father PoV

There where multiple gasps from my sons Remi,romeo and Luke had tears in their eyes and Leo And Rocco both looked Angry I turned back to the doctor.

*BANG*

I heard a loud bang as I turned around I saw Rocco had punched a hole in the wall and Leo took him out of the room to calm down while I continued talking to the doctor.

" I'm aware that she has recently joined your family am I right" he said

"Yes she arrived yesterday" I said as I nodded

"Do you know where she was living before" he questioned

"She was living in London with her step-father" I replied

"Some of her scars are roughly 5 years old " he said

She would have been 10 years old when the abuse started I can't believe my princess had endured all of that pain.

"I think her step-father was the one to abuse her" he said

I felt like I could kill someone her step-father was the one that caused all her pain he was suppose to care for her where the hell was my wife when this was happening.

"Is there anything else doctor" I said

"She is also malnourished from being starved for long periods of time I will give you a diet plan she will need to follow so don't force her to eat more than she should" he said while handing me a piece of paper.

"She may show signs of PTSD some people recover fast from abuse for some people it can take longer but she is a strong girl I'm hopeful she will recover from this" he explained

"Here's a list of possible after effects she may have due to the abuse she has received" he said as I looked down to read the list

~ trouble sleeping

~ having panic attacks and anxiety

~ drinking or taking other drugs

~ binge-eating, purging (throwing up) food or starving

~ feeling like you don't want to live or you can't go on with your life

~ repeated experiences of sexual or physical violence

~ feelings of self-hate and low self-esteem

~ fearing people and relationships.

"I suggest getting a therapist who could help her" he recommended

"Thank you doctor, when can I see her " I said

"No problem boss, you can see her now if you want but she is asleep so please be quiet" he said and led me to her room.

As I was led into the room I saw a tiny figure laying there pale and with an Iv attached to her I walked closer to her as the doctor left the room and sat in the chair next to where she layed I went to hold her hand.

"Don't worry princess daddy is here now" I whispered as I leaned down to kiss her on her forehead I sat back down as there was a knock at the door and Leo poked his head through the door.

"Can we come in" he whispered I nodded and all of them walked in and stood on either side of the bed Rocco had calmed down and all my sons had sad faces as they watched their sister lay asleep.

As I held my daughters hand I felt her move

"She's waking up" I said quietly

Natalia's PoV

I heard people whispering I slowly opened my eyes, squinting in attempt to sharpen the blurred images before me. I glanced around to see all my brothers and a man I hadn't seen before. I shut my eyes trying to remember what exactly happend. Then it all hits me the pain, struggling to breath, my brothers and my d.....

"Dad" I cried

"Hi sweetheart" he said with a smile on his face

"What happend I remember having pain in my chest so I started banging on someone's door and Rocco opening it and I collapse onto him and he lifted me onto his bed and called for help and then you guys where there and I remembered dad comforting me then I could breath again after that I don't remember anything" I explained

"You punctured you lung, I had to Insert a needle into your lungs to help you breath and then you passed out and we bought you here to our private medbay" remi said

"Oh" I said while watching my brothers

"What do you me 'oh' you could have died!" shouted Rocco I flinched

"I- I'm sorry" I whimpered as he started coming closer to me I quickly backed away hitting my back on the wall behind me letting out a shriek of pain my dad noticed.

"All of you out except Leo" he ordered each one of them left the room and quietly closed the door behind them.

"Are you ok bambina " my dad said I nodded and then I flinched as he raised his hand then realising he wasn't going to hit me. My dad looked hurt so I slowly started to approach him and wrapped my arms around his waist and went in for a hug he seemed taken back but he immediately hugged me back. I felt so tired and he was so warm like a giant teddy bear my eyes started to close and fell asleep while hugging my father.

Lorenzos PoV

My daughter thought I was going to hit her she saw how hurt I look so she slowly approached me and wrapped her small arms around my waist I didn't waste no time and I hugged her back after a couple of minutes hugging I started hearing small snores and when I looked down she was fast asleep I couldn't help but let out a small chuckle as her face was squished against me.

*click*

I looked up to see my oldest son taking a photo I shot him a stare as he put his phone down.

"What I had to, look how cute she looks" he laughed I felt her move a little.

"Shut up you moron you'll wake her" I said as he stopped laughing

"I'm going to stay here tonight" I said to him

"You and the boys go home and get some rest" I told him he nodded and left the room slowly shutting the door behind him I carefully moved my daughter and climbed into the bed next to her as she layed her head on my clothed chest and started Stroking her hair.

"I'll never let anything happen to you ever again my little princess" I whispered as I started nodding off with my daughter finally in my arms again.
