♡ TRACK:ZARA SI DIL MEIN♡

"Did you get the notes?", Arya's classmate asked her absent mindedly as she ruffled through her notes. Exams were coming up and they needed a better fix than just books, a senior's notes would be great if they could get your hands on them. Just then Arya remembered Anil! He would be kind enough to lend her some of his notes, wouldn't he? Even though she had never responded to his coffee offer. It was worth a try.

She asked around the hostel the way to Anil's room in the evening, many found it rather odd but gave her the directions anyway. Arya hesitantly knocked on the blue door. Knock. No answer. She was about to knock again when the door swung open and her fist landed on the chest of a man and she involuntarily knocked.

"Should I open up my heart to you? Bypass karna hai?(Do you want to perform bypass surgery on it?)", the man chuckled. Arya was too embarrassed to look up, but the voice did seem familiar to her.

"You can look directly at me, I'm not Solar eclipse.", Arya reluctantly looked up only to come face to face the ever beautiful face of Samir. Her heart stopped, his nuanced brown hair was beautifully juxtaposed against his pale skin. Arya always had been attracted to the 'Tall, Dark and handsome guys', but something about Samir just pulled her into a different world. His almond eyes rounded in on her, as she saw a smile creeping up his lips. She bowed and said,"Sir, I am here to meet Anil sir."

Samir's smile dropped and his voice grew deeper from before, "For?"

"Needed the notes for Diodes. We have our exams coming up."

"Wait here.", Samir went back inside and rummaged through his books. Took out a  thick notebook and brushed off the dust from it's surface. He coughed and passed on the notes to her. "These are mine."

Arya's head shot up like that of an alerted deer, Samir was a brilliant student. So to have his notes would have her so much better off. She slowly took the notebook from his hands when he pulled back.

"What will I get in return?"

In return? Yeh engineering college hai ya business school? Sabko in return kuch na kuch chahiye.

She acted confused and said,"Umm. Sir -"

"It's Samir. And in return you have to bring me a pack of cigarettes from the shop opposite to our hostel everyday."

"A pack everyday?"

"Do you have a problem?"

"I don't but your lungs might.", Arya whispered.

"No sir but can't somebody else do it?"

"Look I'm doing you a favour, so you do that for me with no questions asked, understood?"

Arya nodded feebly and Samir handed her the notes. She bowed and thanked him, assuring him that she would keep her end of the deal. She disappeared from the building and he closed his door.

Ladki ko dekhne ke liye cigarette kaun lane ko bolte hai har rooz?

He face palmed himself as his subconscious spoke. He didn't even smoke, but he wanted a reason to see her everyday so said he said the first thing that came to his mind. Was it stupid? Of course.

Tu to cigarette peeta bhi Nahi hai!

Samir's subconscious spoke again and he got irritated in response.

Itna bara dimaag hai tere pas aur tera reason ye tha? Ye? Har roz ek cigarette ka packet? Bhai coffee ke liye puch leta, waise bhi woh tujhe mana Nahi karti. Have you seen how she acts around you?

It was true but the damage had already been done.

Beta cigarette home delivery ke liye ready ho jao.

Well, he wouldn't mind if she was the delivery girl.

7:30 p.m.

Samir was flipping through his pages of water supply engineering when he heard a knock on the door. He was already exasperated from reading the book, so he got up with annoyed steps and opened the door. A dishevelled Arya stood there, tear stains clearly visible on her face. She had his notebook in her hand. Arya shoved it into Samir's hands and said, "Sorry sir but I dont need your notes anymore." With that Arya turned around to leave but Samir caught a hold of her hand and pulled her inside his room, locking the door from the inside.

"What happened?"

"Nothing."

"I'm asking you again what happened? Look you can tell me, did anyone say anything to you about the cigarettes or the notes?"

Tears started spilling down Arya's eyes as she heard his question.

Samir hesitantly brough his thumb against her cheeks and rubbed away the tears as he asked her,"what happened?"

"I was coming into the campus after buying your cigarettes when a group of girls caught me and started shaming me. They caught a hold of my bag and took out your notes. Somebody recognised it and started calling me names afterwards because of it, asking what business I had with you. So I'm telling you, I dont want the deal, I dont want your notes."

Her hands were shaking from the crying, Samir held her cold ones in his warm hands and looked into her eyes reassuringly,"You don't have to do anything in return, just keep the notes."

Arya looked up to see care, affection floating through his eyes. She felt warm and welcomed. Strangely enough, she felt at home with him even though she had met him only a few days ago. And he felt at peace as he engulfed her icy hands into his, as his internally smiled at how her hands perfectly fit into his giant ones.

Was this the beginning of something new and better? Only time will tell. Sometimes when you move faster than you should, you miss out on a lot of crucial details, you live to regret for missing.

Yo! I'm back, how did like this new chapter? Aren't Samir and Arya cute? Too bad I'm going to ruin them for you, or maybe not. Everything depends on my, prone to impulses, mind.

Listen to the song❤

K, Bye.
