Arya went out to the balcony and Samir followed suit.
"Hey.", Samir faced Arya. She immediately turned to leave when her elbow was caught by Samir.
" What's your problem Arya? Seedhe muh tum baat kyu nahi kar sakti? "
" Kyu ki mujhe tumse baat hi nahi karni. Tumhara chehra bhi nahi dekhna."
"Aisa kiya kya hai maine? "
" Tumhe pata hai kya kiya hai tumne. "
"Nahi pata mujhe. "
" You broke up with me and didn't even bother to tell me the reason! Then kuch din baad hi, you started dating Shanaya like nothing happened between us. Like we hadn't even existed. "
" Arya, look. Let me explain."
" I don't want an explanation Samir. Mujhe bas tumse chutkara chahiye. Mujhe kuch farak nahi padta tum kya kiske sath kar rahe ho. I'm over that shit. Bas tum mujhse contact karne ki koshish bandh kar do. I don't want anything to do with you. Please. "
"But Arya, I consider you to be-"
"I really don't care what you consider me to be, just stay away. "
"Itni akad kabse aa gayi tumme? "
"Abse. Ab chodo mera haath. "
Arya struggled to let loose from his grip but to no avail.
" Apne aap ko samajhti kya ho tum? Tum mujhe ignore karogi aur main daura daura tumhare piche chala aunga, Shanaya ko chodh ke. "
" Abhi bhi baat tumhare palle nahi padi. I don't care! That was a stupid relationship that i should've never gotten into. And I don't want anything to do with that horrible mistake."
"What did you say?Humari relationship ek mistake thi?"
"Kyu? Tumhe nhi lagta aisa? Ive heard you talking to your friends about us, dont try to convince me otherwise. Ab jo ho gaya hai woh ho gaya, please don't expect me to be cordial with you."
Arya was spontaneously pulled into a kiss. Sparks flew, Samir kissed her. It had been ages since he had initiated a kiss with her, it was always her who was the hopeless romantic, it was her who had always made the effort. Arya shoved him back and faced him with a confused expression.
"It was not a mistake Arya. I just-", she exited the room as fast as she could before her heart jumped out. Her phone started buzzing in her hand. It was Rishi.
"Hey!"
"Hi, is everything alright? Why are you panting? "
Should she tell Rishi that Samir had just kissed her and it had made her heart thump like crazy? No, probably not. It was not mutual, she didn't initiate it and broke it as soon as it started. It was one sided and would remain as such.
"I was just dancing. "
"Dancing and you? That's weird. "
"You know, friends pulled me in. "
"Well then, enjoy. Will call you later, love. "
"Bye, Rish. "
She turned around only to be astounded by Samir's presence.
"What is up with you? "
"You can go and date someone after like few weeks of us separating but i can't? Isn't it hypocritical Arya? "
"I don't know why we are even having this conversation! You and i have been done for long. So stop dragging this out. "
"I will not until and unless you explain these double standards of yours to me."
"You broke up with me because you were bored, because I wasn't pretty enough for you or out going enough for you. I've heard shit Samir, we didn't grow apart you just pulled farther and farther away from me. It was not mutual, I was just some experiment you tried before you went on to catch the big fish, you were always the one calling the shots and I went along with it. And after we broke up I see you going out with Shanaya, if you can move on, why can't I? Is this another stupid toxic trait of yours? You'd rather me be alone than with someone? Youre pathetic and selfish and just downright inconsiderate and I was a fool to have thought other wise. Got your answer? Now fuck off! "

amir's face turned sinister within the blink of an eye as he slowly marched towards her.
"This is not over. " , he whispered into her ears and walked away.
Samir's POV
How dare she say those things about me? I've never ever been bad towards her and can't you just outgrow a person? I thought I had outgrown her but it was all my stupid friends' sayings. I didn't. Ive always felt the push towards her, unexplainably strong. I thought it was just infatuation but after a few days of us not talking or even making eye contact, it was clear that it hadnt gone. It was still there, I was swayed by their words for a bit. But how can I say this to her?
