Thomas:
"And?" Henry asked me as soon as I walked back into his dorm. We'd be sharing a dorm if my parents hadn't insisted on me living in my own apartment off campus. I rolled my eyes in response "Would I look upset if it had worked?"
The guy was my best friend, but still annoying as fuck. Mom and Dad are just glad that I found a friend they approve of, and they are doing everything they can to keep it that way.
I mean everything.
We met at the beginning of freshman year because we were supposed to share a dorm, that clearly didn't work out, but our friendship did. Anyways a few weeks later it turned out that Henry lost his scholarship for some stupid reason and guess what my parents did. They signed a check, paying the full amount of his tuition. I'm grateful they did, but it just seems a little weird. Oh, and I did I mention that Henry had no idea they paid his tuition. Nope, he still thinks the school offered him another scholarship.
He shrugged his shoulders in response "I guess not. But are you really mad about it? Your plan wasn't really well thought out." That caused me to rise my eyebrows in his direction. "Dude seriously? Whose idea was it to dare me to sleep with her?"
"Sleep with her, not act like an idiot. I just wanted to help you." "How is that helping me?" I questioned him confused.
"You like her" He stated as if he just solved the worlds hunger problems. "I do not" I stated with disgust clear in my voice. "I won't ever like someone like her. She's perfect." "And that's bad why?" "Don't you get it?! She has everything I don't have."
At my confession he started laughing "Oh god your jealous. The mighty Thomas Barlowe is jealous." "Am not" I protested. "Fine but do tell me how she rejected you. I need details."
I glared at him before explaining the situation. "I thought it was going to be easy, like who wouldn't agree to that, but I guess I was wrong. One thing that I can't not think about though is the way she tried to get as far away from me as possible. I've never seen her react that way with me or anyone else." At my words Henry seemed genuinely confused "How did she react?"
I raised my eyebrows "What do you mean?" He sat down next to me and sighed "What did she do when you kissed her?" I shrug my shoulders in response, even though I knew exactly how she reacted. I was there, so yeah.
"You're thinking about something and I'm pretty sure it's about something that happened." I sighed in defeat and confessed what had been bugging me the whole time "She did something I can't understand." "And that is?" "Well you know what I did, but after that she tried to get as far away from me as possible, like I was on fire or something. It was the most confusing shit ever, not ever has a girl done that when I kissed them."
Henry started laughing "That's a clear rejection dude, you need to seriously pay more attention to what girls actually want not just what you think they want."
I quickly shook my head "No, I feel like there is more to what she did. She thought I would do something to her or at least that's what she said. The rejection part was that she pushed me away, but that was different. It felt like she was actually scared of me." His eyes widened in shock at my explanation.
"Dude, it's pretty obvious" Henry stated.
I raised my eyebrows "It is?" He nodded his head "Yes. Obviously, something bad happened to her." I was confused "Like what?" He rolled his eyes at my stupidity "Are you really that dumb Thomas? Obviously, a guy has done something to her without her consent. It could have just been a kiss, like you did, but it could have also been much more."
"What do you mean with worse?" I quickly asked, but deep down I already knew the answer. One look from him was enough to answer my question. "Fuck" I put my head into my hands.
