Chloe:

"And what would that be?" I questioned them. Elena sighed while Kiley just stood there in silence. "Guys, tell me" I demanded. Suddenly Kiley looked at me with pitty in her eyes before walking away. Before she left, she grabbed Sam's arm and pulled him with her. "Chloe, we should talk about this in your room." I nodded my head in agreement.

Shortly after I was sitting on my bed while Elena stood in front of me. "I-" She started, but was interrupted by the door opening.

Thomas came through the door. He froze as soon as he saw us "Sorry, I was supposed to grab Kiley's purse."  I giggled "Kiley asked you to get here purse, why?" "You're not mad at me anymore?" he asked me with a slight smile on his lips. "Well, no, Sam forced me to talk to Elena, Kiley and technically you too, but you weren't there. Elena was just about to tell me something and I feel like you already know what it is."

Thomas looked at Elena and then back at me. "Are you sure you want to know Chloe?" He asked me. I immediately nodded my head "Whatever it is I can handle it."

He nodded his head and took a deep breath "Elena's brother he's here."

My mouth hung open. "He's here right now?" I asked while stuttering. I looked at my best friend, who just nodded her head. I just sat there looking at my lap. I zoned out so much that I did not even notice Thomas sitting down next to me. "Chloe?" He placed his hand on my shoulder. My eyes looked at him "Yeah?" His eyes held a look of guilt, but before I could ask him about the door abruptly opened.

It was Sam, who had opened the door. He was standing in the doorway looking furious. Then his eyes fell on the curly haired man sitting next to me. "What did I tell you not to do?" He questioned.

"Hurt her" Thomas muttered as a response. "I couldn't quit hear that Barlowe." "You made me promise that I wouldn't hurt her" He answered a bit louder now.

I was looking at the two boys in front of me. One was sitting next to me, while the other one was standing in the doorway. "What is going on here?" I asked both of them. Sam's head turned towards me before he glared at Thomas. "So, you didn't even tell her? Pathetic." The last part was muttered. "I was about to when you burst into the room." I raised an eyebrow "You were about to tell me what?" Thomas turned his head towards me.

"Gina's brother he told me." "What?" I was confused. Before he could continue Sam spoke up "Thomas knew that Elena's brother raped you." My eyes widened in shock "You did?" He nodded his head. "So, you acted like you didn't know. For what?" I had jumped up and was now standing in front of him yelling at him.

I heard Elena ask Sam to close the door after them and then the two of us were alone in the room. "Chloe I didn't know you were the girl." I scoffed "So you knew he raped a girl and didn't do anything? Just great, I thought you were a good person but apparently I was wrong." It felt like my heart broke in that moment. "Chloe please just listen to the whole story." My eyes met his, they were filled with guilt.

That lead me to nod my head even though I didn't want to. Sometimes I think my heart is too big. I crossed my arms over my chest "Explain."

"His dad used to work for my parents, so I was close to him, never to Elena though. She was too young to even remember me. I was not in contact with him for years until he suddenly called me one night. I met him that night and he proudly told me what he did.  I only knew that it was his Sister's best friend and as soon as he told me I knew that he was a sick bastard. I told him to apologize to the person and go to the police, but obviously he did not listen to me. I'm sorry Chloe, if I had done more you wouldn't have had to hide this from everyone. Then you wouldn't have suffered as much as you did. Then you wouldn't have been afraid now. Forgive me please."

"It's ok Thomas. I forgive you." I pulled him into a hug. "Can you promise me something?" I asked him. "Of course, what is it?" I sighed "Can you always be by my side while Elena's brother is here?" He nodded his head "I promise, even if I'm not I'll make sure Elena, Kiley or Sam are." I smiled "Thank you so much."

When we pulled away from the hug I got on my tip toes to kiss his cheek "You're a great friend."
