A few weeks later

Chloe:

"You seriously kissed me because your friend challenged you" I said while dying of laughter. He just shrug his shoulders "That's exactly what I just told you." I just couldn't stop laughing "You do realize that was a very stupid idea?" Thomas nodded his head "I do." I raised my eyebrows "Then why did you do it?" "I don't know. Seemed like a good idea at the time."

I nudged his side in a playful way "It's in the past. Now come on I'm in desperate need of some food." With that I started running away from him and towards the cafeteria. Shortly after he caught up to me though and picked me up. "Thomas" I said while laughing "Let me down." He just smirked but did not let me go. When we reached the cafeteria, he let me back down. "Did the princess not like to be carried?" I rolled my eyes "Let's just get some food."

The past few weeks have been amazing, but also a nightmare at the same time.

The good parts were that Thomas and I got along well, I even got to meet his friends. They are really nice, especially Abby. Other than that, I found out that I passed my exams, so life was great. Until that one incident happened.

One day I was walking back to my dorm from one of my classes when a guy approached me. It was just a fellow classmate, but he looked similar to Elena's brother. So, I kind of got scared of him. That is all that happened. Ever since that day though Thomas, Elena and Kiley would not let me go anywhere alone.

I'm not sure why, maybe because they think I couldn't handle it alone. It is not like Elena's brother would just show up here. After eating I got to use the bathroom, so I just walked away. Probably not a good idea, but I knew Thomas would have insisted on bringing me there and waiting for me. I didn't see the problem though, it's not like any guys will be in there. After a few minutes I returned to our table to find it empty.

I raised my eyebrows while asking myself where the hell he went. My phone, that I had left at the table, was also gone. He must have taken it, but why? That question was answered when I heard Elena call my name form the other side of the cafeteria. "Chloe" I turned around and was immediately engulfed in a hug. "We were so worried about you."

I started laughing "I was just using the bathroom, am I not allowed to?" "Of course, you are, just tell us next time." I rolled my eyes "I'm not a child. I do appreciate my friends looking out for me, but this is going too far."

In that moment Thomas and Kiley showed up "Thank god Girlie. Where were you?" Kiley asked. "She was using the bathroom" Elena answered for me. "She is standing right here and can answer for herself" I glared at my friends. "Can I have my phone now?" Thomas immediately nodded his head and pulled it out of his pocket. "Please princess, just tell me next time." I shook my head "I'm 19 years old. I can go to the bathroom without my friend's consent." I just walked out of the cafeteria without waiting for an answer.

This whole overprotective thing is going way to far me. It's good to know that if I don't come back, they are worried and would start searching for me. But I was gone for maybe 5 minutes. I'm starting to think Thomas thinks I'm his little Sister. He might be a year older than me, but that doesn't mean he can tell me what to do.

Now I was standing in the middle of the campus with no idea where to go.

Suddenly a familiar looking guy came towards me "Hey Chloe, what are you doing here alone?" "My friends are acting like my parents, so I needed some fresh air." He nodded his head "I get that, would you maybe like to get a coffee and talk about whatever?"
I smiled and nodded my head "I'd really like that right now."

If it would have been just some random guy I definitely would have run away or something, I'm still not good at trusting them. This was different though. He has been my classmate since I started college and we even did a project together, twice actually.

„So, Sam, how is Jenny?" I asked when we got our coffee. "We broke up. I found out she cheated on me with my best friend." My eyes widened in shock "That sucks. You know you could have come to me." Sam nodded his head "I know. Now tell me what is the deal with you and Barlowe? You two are friend's, right?"

I shrug my shoulders "He got challenged to kiss me or something. I obviously got scared, he apologized and told me why he hated me. That's the whole stary, now we're friends." When I said only Elena and Kiley knew I might have been lying. I told same after he told me something similar happened to his former friend. „Let me guess, he is like super overprotective now?"

I nodded my head "How did you know?" I already knew the answer though. "Remember when I protected you from that guy and you just hit me." "Well, he was doing nothing so you shouldn't have tried to protect me." He started laughing "Just my point. I learned my lesson, now it is his turn. What's the deal with Elena and Kiley though?" I sighed "I wish I knew why they suddenly act all protective. All that happened is that a guy who looked like him wanted to ask me something. I flinched and since then I'm not allowed to go anywhere alone."

Sam sipped on his coffee "They'll go back to normal, otherwise you could just tell them how you feel."

„Or I could ignore them until they apologize."

He sighed "That is a stupid idea Chloe." I shook my head though. "It'll work, hopefully."

Sorry for not updating. I've just not had much time or motivation to write, so every chance I had I tried to write for opposing ones attract. Anyways do y'all think what Nini is planning is clever?

And what do y'all think of Sam so far?
