My phone rings. I got to change my ringtone, I can't have as that asswhole Shawn Mendes's song.
It's my manager. "I got to take this." I say and walk out of the room while answering it.
"Hello?" I say.
"Adriana sweetie," she says trying to be nice, "I just scheduled an interview in New York with that Morning BUZZ show or whatever in two days so you ill fly out tomorrow. You're going to explain all of this, with your Cole guy, but you are going to lie."
"Well, ya, I know that. What would people think of me if they found out...that?"
"I know. That's why you're going to say that you and Shawn had already broken things up awhile ago and you started dating Cole and you and Shawn were just trying to stop be friends but in the end, it didn't work out."
"Ok. That's good. Buuuut, what about Shawn?"
"Well, he shouldn't want people finding out about that either so we should be good. In the mean time, make a quick funny Vine just to keep going that everything's alright."
"Got it. Thanks. Sometimes I feel like you're my mother. You always end up taking care of me."
"It's my job. And even if it wasn't, I'd still fix you up and ill always help you."
I sniffle. "I know. You're too good for me. How will I ever deserve you?"
She laughs. "I love you."
"I love you too." I tear up and hang up.
We've always been like family and I don't want to lose her. I messed up and I'm worried Shes going to have to pay the price and I...I'll lose her.
I wipe the wetness of tears from under my eyes and walk back in there to tell them.
"Ok! I have an Interview in New York and Cole you have to be there. We fly out tomorrow and the interviews in two days." I turn to look at Cole, "Cole, ill explain how we're going to explain all of this on the plane." I give him a fax smile.
"Then get packin!" Todrick says before they all leave the room and leave just me and Cole together, alone.
Cole steps to me and grabs both of my hands. Our foreheads are pressed up against each other. "What's with the fax smile?" He asks.
I bite my lip smiling for real this time and just say, "You know me so well."
He smiles, leans in, and places a passionate hard kiss on my lips.
