Author's note:  I must admit writing in 3rd person is very much new to me. I've always written on a 1st person view, so this feels a bit out of my element.

This style is somewhat of a challenge to me, as I'm not very big with long descriptive passages. Yes, I understand the harmony of having detail and description, but to me, I find myself skipping over or skimming through most of it. So to my understanding, 'if I don't read it, why write it?'

My concept, I guess.

But I'll keep working on it.

Anyways, thanks for taking an interest in this story. As I've stated before, I'm working solo on this, so this is time-consuming to the maximum.

Hope you guys enjoy.

Finally, back at his manor, what Diluc thought was a few hours of sleep would be sufficient rest, resulting in sleep much longer than that. After washing off all the dry blood and getting his wounds treated, it came to his surprise he had spent the next entire day asleep.

It wasn't until the following morning that his body had a close-to-average fill of sleep that he realized he wasn't wearing the same color sleepwear he had initially worn.

"Young master?" The head maid approached his bedside with a slight bow, "It's a relief to see you awake sooner than anticipated."

Recognizing the stinging pain of his wounds along with the tight bandaging across his chest and right shoulder, he was beyond sore.

"You shouldn't move too fast," Adelinde warned the young master as he proceeded to sit up at his own pace, "You developed a fever shortly after falling asleep, and I can assure you were tended to with meticulous care. All bandages were changed accordingly, as well as your sleepwear."

The brief information about what had happened while he slept correlated to his current status.

He had no recollection of any of it or how he got to the manor in the first place—the attempt to recollect any previous memories suddenly brought upon a sharp pain in his head. The immediate hiss escaped him. "I can't remember..."

The head maid acknowledged the confusion the young master was experiencing. Aether had accompanied Diluc the morning they had arrived and were briefed on the condition of their master. Elzer, along with Aether, sought out the necessary arrangements to get Diluc the treatment he needed. But what Adelinde couldn't piece together was his sudden lack of memory. She recalled her young master being awake throughout the process up until he was helping himself to bed.

"Might I remind the young master of your head injury?" She wondered if the lack of memory could have been from the fever or the concussion he had suffered, "Try not to strain your mind too much. Your memory will become much clearer after more recovery time."

Diluc didn't answer back but gave the idea consideration as he proceeded to shift his body off to the side of the bed. "Get a cup of black coffee ready for me. I can use some fresh air."

Adelinde gave a short bow to the newly received orders, "Understood, young master, but before you proceed..." She paused to retrieve an arm sling from the dresser across his bed, "The Doctor insisted you'd wear this at all times for your right arm. He wasn't very pleased to hear about the drastic measures you and young Aether took to relocate your shoulder, so the swelling and bruising may persist longer than he would have anticipated." Adelinde approached the younger master with the arm sling and carefully assisted with the utmost care. Three weeks, at the very least, was what the Doctor suggested.

The head maid could see the annoyed expression her young master was trying to mask. "Please proceed slowly. I will send Elzer to assist you down the stairs while I prepare your coffee."
