I sat down in a chair next to his bed. I'm guessing he fell back asleep.

I watched him for a few minutes before he woke up again.

"Good morning." He said stretching.

"Um...good morning Matt," I said laughing, "how do you feel?"

"I feel like I was just cut open." He replied.

Well he was right about that.

"Then you should get some rest, shouldn't you."

God, I'm acting like he's my kid. I thought.

"No, why would you say that?" He asked.

"For starters, you just got out of surgery."

"Oh yea, I forgot about that."

With that, a moment of silence came along.

"So you wanted me here?" I asked.

"Yes."

Another awkward moment appeared.

"Why?" I asked, breaking the silence.

"Because...I like you," He replied quickly.

"As a really good friend, right?"

"No...do you not get the words 'I like you'?"

"No I do. It's just that, I wasn't expecting those words from you."

"Why not, wasn't it kind of obvious that I liked you?"

"No, not really!"

"Well, I do, and if you don't respect that, then you can just walk out the door, like all the other so called 'friends' that left me because of my opinions!"

"Matt, I didn't mean for you to get upset. It's just that, I've only known you for a short time, and I haven't discovered the same feelings for you as you have for me."

"So you don't have any feeling for me what so ever?"

Well I did think he was endearing earlier I thought.

"Matt, don't say that. Your extraordinary to me."

"Then prove it."

"How?"

"Kiss me."
