Her timer was close to 0. So close.

Tomorrow.

Tomorrow was always less than 24 hours away.

It was never more than 24 hours away.

For the first time in forever, she smiled at the sight of the timer.

Maybe it was because Mia had come into her life.

If Mia could light up her life, what could her soulmate do?

What could she do for her soulmate?

Mia gazed in wonder at the pure white, rustic style apartment.

"Your apartment's really nice," She complimented, her fingers brushing against the grey curtains.

"Thanks, it took a while to get before moving out but my mum supported it," Sooyun answered, a small smile sprouting on her lips. "The location is nice as well, I mean, there's a convenience store across the street!"

"I'm guessing midnight snack?" Mia looked at Sooyun with a mischievous grin.

Sooyun entered the empty room, connected to her own room. She turned around, a serious look on her face. "So, yes or no?"

"Yes! Definitely!" Mia said, jumping slightly, her hair flying around her.

Sooyun's face flashed an expression of thought, "Saturday?"

"Alright!"

Mia waved up to Sooyun, walking away from the apartment that would soon become her home.

When Mia met Sooyun, Sooyun gave her the impression that she was somebody who was tearing herself apart. The expression on her face when they had met made it clear that she was struggling internally, that something had caused her to destruct herself but the true smile that her face put on display after meeting Mia made the girl believe that she still had hope within her.

One day. One day. It was all so close to him. The moment most people wait for. The moment that everybody had told him would be the best within their life.

But if that was the best moment within their life, was spending the rest of their life worth it, especially with their soulmate?

"Gege, is meeting your soulmate that good?" Renjun asked, furrowing his brows.

Winwin nodded, "Definitely. I know everybody tells you that the moment is the best but honestly, every moment spent with your soulmate is amazing, the result is more rewarding." His shirt exposed the rainbow star like shape on his wrist.
He didn't take long to notice the abnormal expression on Renjun's face, worry filling his face. "What's wrong?"

"I'm scared. About my soulmate. Is she going to be somebody that you like? Will she like you guys?" He confessed, sadness and despair growing in his eyes.

"Don't worry. She's your soulmate for a reason."

One minute. A mere minute away from the day that would change his life.

His feelings were a jumble, he had no idea what he was feeling unlike the clear emotions he felt.

He was standing by the bridge again, staring into the unknowns of the distance.

The number changed.

Midnight.
