The round number was on her wrist as she wandered around town. There was no way she could sleep that night, fueled with that energy.

She ran desperately, but she had no idea where she was going, nor what her motivation was, but she just felt drawn to the direction.

The feeling grew stronger as she was closer, strengthening in her body, the need for something clutching her, squeezing tighter and tighter.

Pain washed over Sooyun's body, screaming at it. But it wasn't that usual sort of pain. It was emotional pain, dragging her to the familiar bridge that she passed by daily.

Sooyun kept running. But the terrifying thing was that she couldn't stop herself, tears bursting for no reason.

She had no control over her own body.

Then she crashed into somebody, gasping as the warm feeling spread from her chest, a feeling of relief running through. Sooyun's arms naturally wrapped over the boy's body.

"Help," She gasped.

Renjun looked at the girl who had crashed into him, tears running down her face, black streaks painted over her body. Then he looked at his wrist, the 0 that had been there seconds ago becoming a rainbow in the shape of a cherry blossom, the streaks gracefully running on his skin as it spread, the sight unmatched.

"You-" He said, shaking as the girl detached from him, "You're my soulmate."

The girl's eyes widened, looking down at her wrist where the rainbow was blossoming as well, meeting Renjun's eyes which were filled with flecks of gold.

Silence filled the air, it was just silence, nothing else.

A few minutes passed until the girl looked at Renjun. "I- I'm Sooyun."

That was when it registered in Sooyun's brain who she was staring at. "Oh my god. You're my soulmate."

Renjun had seen it too many times, the fangirl face. Letting loose, he attempted a weak smile, "I take it you're an NCTzen?"

Sooyun nodded, a natural smile coming through her lips.
It was the epitome of awkward as the two stood, fiddling with their clothes.

"So...what do you do when you meet your soulmate?" Sooyun asked, traces of sarcasm in her voice.

"Uh, I guess we exchange numbers?" Renjun suggested.

After a quick exchange of numbers, Sooyun rubbed her eyes, the energy fading away. "I'll text you later, I'm really tired right now."

Waving goodbye, the newly linked soulmates headed back to their respective homes.

The new rainbow mark that was now on his wrist didn't go unnoticed by his members that were somehow still awake, likely waiting for his return.

"Renjun! You're back!" Jeno yelled, enveloping Renjun in a hug.
As Renjun's arms wrapped around Jeno, the mark was exposed to the members.

"You- you met your soulmate?" Jaemin asked, rubbing his eyes to make sure he wasn't seeing anything wrong.

He nodded in response, "Her name is Sooyun, she crashed into me at the bridge by accident, although I think it might be because of the soulmate bond."
"Do you have her number?!" Jeno asked excitedly, jumping a little.
