"You went go-karting with him and you're refusing to call it a date?" Mia asked, raising her voice slightly.
"I mean, I've known him for what, two weeks and you're trying to say that we're dating?"
"My god, Sooyun, literally everybody can see your connection, if you're trying to defy the fact that you two are going to get together, I don't even know what to say."
"Just because he's my soulmate doesn't mean I know how to admit it!" Sooyun replied, the entire apartment filled with the sound of the two arguing.
"So you do like him," The girl opposing her smirked victoriously.
"He's my soulmate, what can I do?"
"I swear if you deny your love one more time, I'm never cooking for you again."
At this point, arguing about whether Sooyun liked Renjun or not was a daily thing. She had grown more obsessed with watching his videos and performances, sometimes even blasting it on the TV that nobody used.
Yes, Mia had told her to distract herself from the Heejin situation with Renjun, but she didn't mean it like that.
Renjun and his members were quite busy, meaning less hangouts and less activities together, or dates, if Mia was right. College was taking a lot of her time as well, but it wasn't like she could complain either, the classes all being ones that she enjoyed unlike some students at college.
Just because they were busy didn't mean that Mia didn't catch Sooyun texting Renjun 24/7, picking up her phone even during their conversations, which honestly, she didn't mind.
Even though she did comfort Sooyun about the Heejin situation, she couldn't help but worry as well.
Mia was a deep thinker despite her outer personality. She had never been through something big, never been disrespected of her rights but she had thought about it. That was how she saw the sadness in Sooyun's eyes the day they met.
She wanted to help her.

Heejin was conflicted once more, she couldn't decide what she would do with the new information.
Sooyun's soulmate is an idol.
Her parents were bound to find out, but that would only motivate them. Was tarnishing their reputation too much? Definitely, way too much.
But her parents didn't care about that, they didn't care about her feelings, nor did they care about anybody else's feelings. It was like they were a robot driven by the need for power.
Yet she couldn't anything about it. She was just a minion, somebody who was sent to do dirty work for them.
"Heejin!" She heard her parents yell, snapping her back into reality.
She ran out of her room, into the living room. "Yes?"
"I heard you found out who Sooyun's soulmate is," Her dad turned towards her.
How did he find out?
"Yes, I know," She admitted, not willing the risk the possibility of facing her father's anger.
"Who is it?"
"Renjun.""You mean the idol, Renjun?"
Heejin nodded reluctantly, worried about what he would do to him."Alright," He looked away at her mother, nodding.
"Also, you should lose some weight," Her mother scrutinized.
She ran back to her room, locking the door. She had been told the same thing so many times, too many times by her own parents that were meant to support her.
Don't cry, don't cry Heejin, you're meant to be strong.
It didn't help. The tears she had broke that fragile barrier that held them back. She had never really been happy, and she doubted she could for the rest of her life.
The sight of the unruly grey mark on her wrist just made her cry more.
She regretted it so much.

Sooyun's ears could only take so much of that dry voice before she would get bored of it, before she would just fall asleep. It was only the beginning of the week and all she wanted was for the weekend to come along. Her hands were exhausted from typing and the only thing she could do at that point was close her eyes and sleep.
As the class finally came to a close, Sooyun's feet dragged as she went to the café once more.
Seeing Mia, her pace began to quicken as she pulled the seat out, sitting.
"I'm just going to sleep."
"If you're going to sleep, then we should just go home. Or you can get coffee.""Coffee and then I'm going home. I have homework."
"You're lucky it's winter, otherwise I would be forcing you to stay here.""I like winter, there's no sun."
"Spring's better."
"Just shut up and get whatever you want."
The two were soon out of the coffee shop, still bickering about the best season."You hate the sun, I don't get why," Mia complained, not noticing the girl that was staring down at her phone in front of the two.
"I'm pale, it's just normal. My mother doesn't like the sun either," Sooyun argued back, not looking forward.
"If you're going to argue about how you hate the sun, I swear--" Mia suddenly stopped as Sooyun tripped.
Why would somebody put a fire hydrant in the middle of the road. It gets covered up by snow and nobody sees it.
Sooyun cursed at the fire hydrant in the middle of the sidewalk as she picked herself up, her drink spilled over her and the girl in front of them, "I'm so sorry, I'm so clumsy, do you want me to--" Her eyes widened at the girl, "It's you, Heejin."
"Yes, it's me. And I'm sorry."
