Chapter 17: Bloody Magic

Now, I get I haven't been talking much the last chapter. But after what Heka told me, I didn't feel like talking. However after what had just happened, I was ready to yell at Connor all day.

The 5 of us were resting in a giant living room, waiting for Driam to call us into an arena he had under his mansion. And why he had that under his mansion, I have no clue.

Idril wasn't with us, though I hoped she was okay. About 1-2 hours had passed, and everyone was on edge.

Emiko: "I get you want to be the hero and help her, but we only have 2 days to find Apophis. As much as I want to help her, we can't waste our time here"

Connor: "I'm not sure you saw what I did. He was gonna whip her with that whip. That thing could easily draw blood, and that's probably the least of what'll happen to her. I'm not letting that happen"

Angel: "I'm with Connor on this. We can't let Driam torture her like that"

Kaito: "We could always come back after our mission is complete"

Himari: "It may be too late by then"

Connor: "Besides, as much as I hate to admit it, there's a possibility our quest won't stop Ragnarok. I won't let her last days be with him"

Emiko: "You're such a dumbass... You don't even know what elves can do in battle. They can probably use all sorts of magic"

Connor: "Good thing we're demigods of a magic god"

I went silent and turned away.

Emiko: "We're not at Mytho-Academy, we can die out here. Don't get yourself killed"

Connor: "What's your problem? I thought you would've been on my side on this"

I finally snapped.

Emiko: "Shut up!! Just shut up!!!"

I jumped out of my seat and ran out of the room in a blind rage. I could hear Himari following after me.

Himari: "Emiko! Hold on!"

I tried to outrun her, but she was faster than me. She passed me and stood in front of me.

Himari: "Please, tell me what's bothering you! And don't say nothing, I know something's wrong"

I tried to get around her. The chains dropped down from her bracelets and wrapped around me. The chains wrapped around my arms, pinning them to my sides. She then pulled my close into a hug. No matter how much I struggled, I couldn't get free from the chains.

Himari: "Please, I want to help. But I can't if you don't let me"

I stopped struggling, as I could feel her holding me. It brought me some comfort after everything that's happened.

Emiko: "I-I'm sorry... can you take the chains off of me?"

Himari smiled innocently.

Himari: "You sure you don't like being tied up in my arms~?"

I blushed a little bit.
