I Just Need Some Time Alone (Rewrite) (completed)

chapter 6

   Alfred woke to hero meowing at him and pawing at his chest. He gave a small smile. He sat up, pulling hero into his arms, so he could pet him. He scratched under hero's chin and behind his ears. He sat letting hero for a long time. He looked at his phone seeing that it was 6 in the morning. He looked back at hero and asked if he was hungry. He received a purr as an answer. He then moved to the edge of the bed, still holding hero, he stood then made his way down stairs to get hero food.

   Making it to the kitchen he set hero down. He grabbed the water dish and filled it with water, before filling the other one with food. He crouched next to hero, who was eating, alfred pet him. He then stood up, cracking his back as he looked at the fridge. Today is sunday his fasting day. He got out his water bottle. He set on the counter before grabbing his vitamins. After taking them he made coffee. He then went and set the coffee cup and water bottle down upstairs. He came back down stairs and saw hero sitting next to his empty bowls. He filled up the water dish completely before filling the food dish halfway with some tuna. Hero didn't move to eat it. Alfred picked hero up carrying him to his office. He sat hero in his lap and began to do his paperwork.

   3 hours later and Alfred had finished both his coffee and water. He had only done a little bit of work. He looked down at hero, who was sitting in his lap, the poor cat looked board out of his mind. Alfred gave a small chuckle. Picking up the cat with one arm, he grabbed the mug and bottle with his free hand. He then went down stairs. He set hero on the couch and went to the kitchen putting the mug in the sink and refilling his bottle. He then went back to hero. He looked at the t.v. turning on and switching to a random channel. He the laid down. Hero crawled on his chest. Alfred pet hero, who began to purr. He liked this. Being able to hold something in silence. Being with another living thing and not being judge by them.

   Alfred felt his stomach rumble. Hero lightly shook because of it. Hero looked up at Alfred giving him a small glare for waking him up. Alfred apologized. Hero pressed his uninjured paw on Alfred's mouth, as if he was trying to tell Alfred to shut up. Alfred stared cross-eyed at the paw on his mouth. Hero then moved away laying back on his chest. Alfred laid there for a few more moments before getting up. Hero growled at him for disturbing his slumber. Alfred gave him a few pets before going to the kitchen and getting another cup of coffee. He then came back into the living room and wrapped hero in the blanket that was on the back of the couch.

   He made his way upstairs he needed to do more paper work. His boss would get angry if he didn't get the rest of it finished this week. He went back in to his office. Sitting in the chair he began to doing his work. He normally just blanked out when he dis paperwork. Today however he couldn't, he was to on guard. He knew it was because of hero. He didn't take very good care of himself, but he would never do that to an animal. He had to keep checking to make sure hero didn't need anything. By the afternoon alfred had finished quit a bit of his work, he only had around a hundred more papers to do.

   He went down stairs and took hero to get food. He took his nighttime vitamins and sat down on the kitchen floor waiting for hero to finish eating. After hero was done eating and drinking he limped over to Alfred. Alfred petted him and picked him up taking him to his bedroom. He sat hero on his bed. He got his laptop and got onto YouTube, he clicked on a random video and set the laptop down infront of hero. He told hero that he needed to work out and that he didn't want him getting board. Alfred then went downstairs to his basement. He had both work-out equipment and power tools and regular tools down there. He usually just went down here to work out, he didn't have anything to fix or work on so he rarely used his tools anymore.

   He then went and began his work out. Doing 10 minutes of stretching. He did cardio before lifting weights. He then did pull ups. After almost 2 hours he finished his work out. He then went to take a shower. When he was done he dried of and got changed. He turned off his laptop and got into bed letting hero cuddle into him.
