Chapter 21: I promise

This chapter is so sweet, I really liked it.

*Hey guys, sorry for being late, as usual, I have another things to attend to and also I entered a writing competition which had eaten half of my time, writing and brainstorming ideas all day long. But, because I love you guys and to show appreciation for supporting me, I gave you another chapter.

"Allison!!"

The tall alpha yelled as he caught the smaller were, putting his arms under the small were's knees and on his back, scooping him up.

"Ryker?! What're you doing?! Put me down!" Allison yelled in shock, clutching onto Ryker.

"Mikayla said, you're on bedrest." Ryker said seriously.

Allison looked at him with as if Ryker just gre another head, "You're not serious." Allison said.

"I'm totally serious." The alpha answered nonchalantly.

"But I need to pee." Claimed the small were in Ryker's arms. "And you don't know how your bladder feel by being crushed by these two babies. Now put me down, Ryker." Allison said, more like the style of commanding that he learnt from Kristina.

'When an ape ruled in the jungle, you have to stare him down.'

That's what she said.

And that's what Allison had been doing. Staring the ape-correction-the wolf down with the same technique. At first, Ryker, just ignored him but then when the silence was so hard to be cracked, he finally put Allison down.

"On one condition." Ryker said, still holding Allison hand. "I'll be inside with you."

Allison stared at him incredulously, "Not a chance." And the door slammed right in front of Ryker's face.

"Babe, it's dangerous for you being alone." Ryker knocked the door hard, begging Allison to unlock the door for him.

"Go away! I need to pee in peace!" Allison yelled, for the first time in his life, ever showing how annoyed was he with Ryker childish suggestion.

'I'll carry you everywhere.'

What? Who did that?

Allison asked himself while he focused on emptying his full bladder. He washed his hands reminiscing the day when he woke up at the hospital.

"Babe?" A voice could be heard from his side.

His head felt heavy and and he was cold all over but his hand felt warm. Warm like someone had wrapped his hand with hot cozy blanket.

He blinked.

"..ker?" He called out, quite shock hearing how scratchy his voice had become.

"I'm here." The voice answered and the warmth spread throughout his body when the blanket of warmth enveloped him with a tight hug.

He didn't want to spoil that, so he just let it be. The silence went on with no one between them uttering a word. As time passed by, he began to move, coughing from the dehydration he felt along his throat and grabbed the glass of water given to him while he could feel his body adjusted to a more sitting position but carefully as if he was made of glass.
