I sighed and glanced at the clicking clock noticing that I only had a few more minutes of this class before my day at school ended. My demeanor instantly faltered as I remember that my older sister Nina would be at my house when I got home. My sister and I don't get along too well, actually we don't get along at all. At the age I began to find myself and make the change to male she found religion and not in the good way, the serums Nina were attending were poisonous and disgusting. My parents tried to get her to stop attending but she refused and accused them of "keeping her from the lord".

After I came out to my family she began to disassociated herself from me, she would incredibly horrible towards me and even went to the extent of having her church friends over to hassle me. By the time she was ready to leave I was emotionally wrecked, but I didn't let her constant verbal abuse hold me back from loving myself. When Nina left Marceline was right behind her and Michael filled her place. The bell began to ring and everyone left the classroom excited about the the weekend they had planned. I groaned and lifted from my seat walking out of the empty room into the stuffy hallways and began to look for any of my friends.

"Hey Mike!".

I turn and look to see Luke a few people down from me. I smiled and made my way towards him.

"Hi Cally" I greeted.

"So how are you on this lovely Friday?" he beamed.

"Pretty shit if I'm honest. My sister is coming in town and I really dont wanna deal with her this weekend" I grumbled.

"You could always come and hang out with me" he suggested.

"You'd be cool with that?" I inquired.

"Course you could come to that party with me nad then spend the night" he offered.

"That sounds awesome Calum, thanks so much. You don't understand how much I appreciate this" I grinned.

"Okay well text me your address and I'll pick you up when you get your stuff" he smiled patting me on the shoulder.

"I'll see you soon!" I answered walking to my locker.

I got my things together and made my way out of the school and to he bus. I clamored into the big yellow vehicle and popped in my ear buds and began blaring Somethings Gotta Give, humming lightly to it.

It takes about ten minutes to m house so after about three songs I was off the bus and walking into my quaint little home.

"Hi honey" my mom greeted as I slipped off my shoes.

"Hi Mummy. I was going to stay over at Calum's house tonight is that okay?" I asked.

"Sure sweetie, you can stay out the whole weekend if you want. I don't want you to have to be around Nina" my mom frowned. I could tell speaking that sentence hurt her seeing as her children couldn't even be around each other.

"I'm sorry it's like this mum" I mumble as I hug her.

"It's not your fault baby. You are the way you are and that makes you happy which of course makes your father and I happy. I just wish your sister would see it as you being happy and not a sin" she sniffled releasing me from the embrace.

"Speaking of your sister she should be arriving any minute now so go ahead and get your things together for the weekend. Just keep me updated please" she requested kissing my head and sending me upstairs.
