After the incident in the bathroom Luke and I snuck out of that hell hole and decided to ride around in his car listening to music.
"You have amazing music taste Lucas" I complimented.
"Well you do too, seeing as you know all the lyrics" he chuckled turning down a narrow road.
"Never been down this road before" I mumble looking out the window at the tall blurred trees lining the black asphalt.
"When I started to drive I would just cruise around listening to tunes and one day I took a wrong turn and ended up on this road and thought 'what the hell I'll keep going' and the road stopped here" he finished grinning over to me like a fool.
I raised an eyebrow at the cerulean eyed boy. He laughed at my reaction and got out the car.
"Just follow me Mikey" he said.
I got out of the old vehicle and walked up beside him. He smiled and offered me his hand. I blushed and grasped it tentatively. We began to walk down a tiny path surrounded by beautiful plants and wilting flowers.
"This place is amazing" I announced.
"Just wait it gets better" he smirked.
I internally pondered what was in store but didn't question what was to come.
Soon I heard the sound of splashing and got giddy. He was taking me to a river, it was just like a story I smiled that was until we got to our destination and my jaw dropped.
It wasn't a river it was a waterfall. The water looked like glass, shiny and shimmering with bursts of color.
"Luke this is magnificent" I said in complete awe.
"I thought you'd like it" he laughed.
I nodded and sat so I could continue to take in the breathe taking setting.
"You know you're the first person I've taken here" Luke confessed sitting beside me.
"Really? Why didn't you take Theo?" I questioned.
He laughed lightly "You're going to think I'm an idiot but I knew all along he was cheating on me. I knew about the after school studies and quizzes during lunch but all I could think was that I couldn't find anyone who would be willing to date me or even deal with me" he explained. "But now I'm thinking different" he grinned.
My stomach spun and I couldn't help but let a dopey smile plaster on my face.
We sat for the remaining school time beside the waterfall talking about our futures and different concerts we'd been to until three rolled around and we decided to make our way to Luna's.
We walked hand in hand to the car and got into it to find out it wouldn't start.
"What are we gonna do?" I asked in a panicked tone.
"I'll just call a tow truck and Luna" Luke explained.
He then called a tow truck company and told them our location and got the waiting time, which was fifteen minutes. Then called Luna who said she'd be on her way soon.
We sat silently after the call ended just enjoying the landscapes outside the car.
"Can I tell you something?".
I look over and nod giving his permission.
"You're really cool and I like you a lot. I mean I like you in the sence that-"
"I get it Luke, I feel the same way" I giggle at the babbling boy.
He blushed slightly, "Can I maybe try something Michael?" He asked.
I nodded once again and what he did took me by surprise.
He kissed me.
