Chapter 9: Living with Them

It was starting to get night it was her last night in her apartment and of course Rui stayed with her.
"I'm sorry you have to sleep their " she said looking at a corner of her room

He shrugged "it's not like I'm gonna sleep you are fine. And don't worry I won't take it when you sleep." He looked away thinking to himself 'we have had so many opportunities to snatch it. Make her give it to us but we keep her alive. At this point it's the necklaces power and her own unawakened powers that makes her strong what a clueless girl. But the necklace. I see most of the power is coming from her heart that's where the strength is maybe it's in her blood-"

Hanako watched him he looked concerned or confused "are you okay?"
He quickly turned around and nodded "go to sleep." He got up to turn the lights off going to his spot
She nodded before laying down under her blankets she had her eyes open "Hey can I vent ?"
Rui looked at her "vent to me? don't you dislike me." He assumed after everything and what he dragged her into from the start.

She sighed "I don't hate anyone it's just surreal. But that's not what I wanna get into" she turned to face him while laying down he was sitting up looking at her

"You heard the call right? My parents. Growing up it wasn't easy. I was treated like a kid in some cases but in other cases they rejected me. I was a daughter and just some kid to them sadly, they didn't even care for what I did growing up I never really had friends they never taught me things I figured stuff on my own I've always felt so. Lonely"

Rui stared at her with a slight sad expression
"I'm sorry."

She nodded and looked at the ceiling "I was always the quiet kid. The loner you figured when you met me right? You were the first male I've had any sorta small interaction with. Then after that my whole world changed. Just everything switched so fast. That day"

Rui watched her "Hey Blossom. You are a smart girl and you taught yourself well for someone being alone, not much people get far by themselves. As a vampire I grew up in a human area it wasn't easy for me . I was lonely too until I met my own kind. The king brought my kind in as well as my parents but-" he shook his head "never mind blossom. Continue ."

"You know one day before I die or something happens. I promise that I will know you more mark my words" she said closing her eyes slightly "come here"
He got up and walked over to her "don't tell me you want me to get you s-" she slightly grabbed his hand "thank you for accepting me along with your friends. It was scary at first and you guys might just want the necklace but . It's the best and only company of others I've ever had around me aside from Kiyo." she pulled him slightly as she turned away as he fell onto the bed

He smiled as she wasn't looking and sat their "goodnight blossom." She soon fell into a deep sleep he watched her slightly "you won't die. I promise blossom."

The next morning Hanako woke up to her room cleaned and almost empty she had sat up and looked around
Haru walked in "oh princess"
She blinked "didn't Rui-"

Rui then walked in "they are helping you move stuff to the manor they know everything." He left
Haru sighed and sat next to her "he's so cold " he laughed "how are you feeling ?" He said as he poked the scar "as long as you are with us they can't get past the manor. But here they can" he touched her cheek "I forgot about that." She got up "can I go to the manor .?"
He nodded "don't need to ask me twice the rest are here helping pack" he got up and grabbed her hand leaving to the car "I'll be back in just gonna drop her off and"
Rui glared "you better just drop her off"
Haru suddenly got a scared look and rushed inside his car as Hanako got in

They got to the manor as Hanako looked at it staring from the outside "I've never notice how big and beautiful it was"
Haru nodded "look you're room is the last floor . Mina is on the floor and so is Rui it's weird there is more of us tho if I'm being honest"
She nodded "I haven't met them?"
He shrugged "they usually aren't here so you probably won't anyways go to the room"

She sighed and walked inside to it being quiet and cold "I wanted to at-least enjoy my morning with something" she walked up the stairs to her room , walking in her stuff was neatly organized "they went through everything and ever organized it for me?" She laid on her new bed and curled up "it's still morning it's winter break I'm going to sleep" she closed her eyes before going back to sleep

A male with light blue hair and faint purple eyes walked in "She's so pretty." Ren watched the male being next to him "Sad to see such a pretty human in harms way but hey. It's not our problem.Once we have the necklace and we revive the king he will decide her fate you do know that Miki we can't sit around and admire her"
He nodded "her beauty is out of the world. I have to admire her soft skin and her fragile body."
Ren rolled her eyes "calm down Rui is waiting for us" she walked away
Miki had followed

Hours later Hanako woke up rubbing her eyes seeing Haru
"Wow I didn't think the princess was lazy"
She glared "I'm not a princess and I'm tired besides I have the opportunity to sleep imma take it" he nodded "correct how are you feeling I thought I would wait while you slept "

"I'm good- you watched me sleep?
He laughed at her "well I didn't Miki did though ." She acted unconcerned.
"Who was that again I can't remember "

He stopped laughing "oh right Miki is the 2nd to oldest and the smartest. He has the blue hair and he usually makes stuff for us to heal or protection stuff." She nodded "right."

Miki walked in "I was summoned " he looked right at Hanako and quickly walked over grabbing her hands "marry me?"

Hanakos face flustered as she pulled her hands away "what!"

Rui appeared behind him and slapped his hand "what did I say about this. No touching or anything we all know how you are weirdo."
Haru watched them and looked at Hanako
Miki nodded and bowed to Hanako "forgive me my dear princess."

Hanako shook her head "you know you don't have to call me princess I'm not one" Miki then shook his head "you are as much of a princess than anything else. They must ha-" Haru quickly looked over at miki giving him a look like something they were hiding. Rui slapped him "you are nonsense"
Miki then left "apologizes."

"He's a wonderful scholar and teacher but a complete weirdo with girls "
He shrugged walking to the door "well welcome to the manor." He soon left the room Haru had followed along "see you soon princess!"
