Your brother finally agreed to attend Hogwarts.
After years of begging.
He always refused. He hated crowds. And the thought of attending Hogwarts brought his anxiety through the roof.
Thankfully your mom was a stay-at-home mom. And she was a bright witch, so she could homeschool him.
You missed him greatly and always made sure to write to him every weekend and tell him the thrilling tales of your week.

"Hurry up Joe. I told you the train leaves at exactly 11 and it's 10:50" you and your brother and your dad were currently rushing to pass through the barrier to Platform 9 3/4.
"Going as fast as I can Y/n, calm down" he huffed.
You couldn't wait to show him how to get through the barrier.
You decided to shove him into the wall.
Instead of smashing his face and breaking his nose, he went right through. He was expecting to pass through. But he didn't expect for it to feel so tingly.
He came back feeling lighter than before.
"How was it," you said, appearing through the wall. Luging your trunk with you.
"I feel fine. It's not so bad Y/n, barely anybody on the platform".
"That's because you slowed us down and we are late" you retaliated, hugging your dad goodbye.
He just rolled his eyes. "So is it true, do we get sorted by a hat" he had a hint of amusement in his voice?
"Yes Joe it's true, now get on the train" you wanted to see your boyfriend. Harry Potter.
You pulled your arm around his and held him close. You knew he felt uncomfortable around new people.
You searched through the compartments in search of the raven-haired boy, probably accompanied by Ron and Mione.
Joe just followed like a little kid.
You finally found his compartment and opened door to the smiling trio.
You took your brother's hand. "There's a compartment to the next of us. I'll be over in a bit" he nodded and his eyes darted over to the confused group.
"Hello Harry, I missed you" you attempted to hug him tightly but he only gave you a half-assed hug.
"Ok, whatever that was about," you said to yourself, turning to Hermione.
"How was your summer Mione?" She gave you a dazzling smile and you almost caught Ron gazing at her.
"It was great, I loved your owls. And Harry's"
You prodded Harry's arm and he just looked the other way. You shrugged off his cold demeanor, it wasn't unusual.

His usual coldness didn't make the train ride any less awkward. He didn't even look at you.
You decided to go to your brother's compartment. He looked extremely nervous.
"Hey Joe, you want me to stay with you the whole time? Harry is being an ass right now."
"Oh, are you talking about Harry Potter? I heard you mention him before"
"Yeah he's Gryffindor like me, and he's also my boyfriend" you looked at Harry who's head turned away from yours quickly "he's acting like a child right now"
