"Just convince James to throw a party"
"Why would I do that?" You scoffed at Sirius's cocky grin.
"Becuseee you loooove me" he says.
You let out a loud laugh that sounded through the library. A prefect shushed you and you flipped him off.
"I'll love you when hell freezes over Pads"
"I can arrange that" when you didn't reply he continued "just do it, all it takes it one look from you and James is on his knees"
"That's not true"
Everyone saw how crazy James was for you. Even you. But you didn't want to admit it.
Suddenly James came into view with a wide smile on his cute face.
"What's not true love"
"Nothing James" you returned the smile.
"Canwethrowapartyatyourmanor?"
"Come again?" James asks.
"Can we throw a party at your manor?" Remus says again.
"Oh, no." James walks away. But not before winking at you.
Sirius turns to you, "this is why we need you y/n"
"This is a you problem"
"I won't bring you my mom's Christmas brownies anymore if you don't ask" Remus threatened you.
"Fine"

You found James coming out of the boys showers and locker rooms after a quidditch practice.
"Well hello love"
You turned the charm up to 100 and spoke.
"James I have a question" you looked up at him with eyes full of wonder.
Your hand placed itself on his chest while the other ran through his curls.
"W-what is it" he cleared his throat.
"You know that party Remus mentioned?" You subtly looked down at his lips.
"I remember"
"Well I was hoping you would change your mind"
"Well I don't know I"-
Your hand tugged on his curls slightly, "for me?"
"Sure" he said immediately.
He leaned in when you smiled up at him.
You moved and he frowned slightly. "Maybe later James"

Winter break came and you stepped into James's house that was raging with a party.
"Y/n whatever you did fucking worked!" Sirius yelled over the crowd.
He made his way over to you as you laughed, "He went all out, what'd you do?"
"I just flirted. His tail was basically wagging. It was kind of cute in a way."
"Cute you say?"
"Can it Sirius." you walked away and found the fire whiskey.
You didn't sense James coming up to you as your back faced the party.
He spoke.
"Hello y/n."
Your smile grew unknowingly and you responded, "James, thanks for throwing the party."
"Well it was for you love."
"I have to confess, Remus threatened me with his moms Christmas brownies if I didn't convince you."
He leaned on the table beside you and laughed with a dazzling smile.
"I know, but I enjoyed the flirting and your touches way to much to say no to you."
"Careful James. You'll make me think you like me." you smiled at him and his heart almost stopped.
"My bad darling."
You sighed and looked at James. You weren't saying you liked James. But you did want to know what his lips tasted like.
The ones that constantly mouthed 'call me' in a flirty way to you.
The ones that have leaned in multiple times to kiss you. Only to have to turn him down.
You tapped his shoulder and he looked into your eyes while you grabbed his collar to bring his lips to yours.
He immediately kissed back with the same intensity and heat.
His tongue hungrily explored your mouth.
"Upstairs?" He mumbled.
You nodded and he tapped your thigh, signaling you to jump and wrap your legs around him.
His mouth never left yours as he went up the dorm stairs.
The kisses he was giving you made your head spin. You couldn't help but let out a yelp when he dropped you on his bed.
You giggled and James leaned back down to kiss you.
He pulled away and spoke.
"Let me guess, this is just a snog."
"It is"
"Why'd you do it?" He sat beside you.
You sat up and looked at James.
"Kiss you? I don't know I just- you looked really good and um I guess I've liked you for a bit"
"Liked me? But you act like you hate me."
You suppressed an eye roll, "Merlin your stupid James"
"Anything for you." he leaned in and kissed you again.
